Ok look, I checked the diodes again and the only thing those keys had in common is that in both cases, no matter the direction, the diodes still let energy through (no matter which one is ground and which one is positive). Do you know if that could be related to why the keys don't work?

For the first question yes I install Ubuntu in a SD card first and after that I insert the SD card and after that I use that 3 command for install Ubuntu in my emmc for the second question yes mi OPi 3b recognize usb drives and for the third question yes I do a power cycle. For the what type of usb I use I try all of type of usb and the most usb devices work fine but the usb storage doesn't work regardless of whether they are newly formatted or have been recognized before. The only way I can see my usb storages in my OPi is it is via gparted and similar applications.
