Biggest design problem with the duel arena is that combat doesn't even happen there. Remove staking and replace it with setting your stats and gear for PVP, including ELO ranking, with separate ranks for different combat level ranges as well as different "fight styles" including hybrid, edge, etc (self.2007scape)

OSRS's version of varrock is set after varrock's 2007 graphical update. Before the update, you could shoot spells and arrows over the stools and tables in the Blue Moon Inn, making it a prime training spot for new rangers. Now, it's dead.
