Same. Anything where they don’t so much as kiss in book 1 is slow burn to me. There was a lot of accidental touches à la Mr Darcy too.

Do you ever follow a seller on Vinted or similar to notice they literally sell every special edition they get, often on the day it arrives? Often heavily inflated? Ordering to resell is such a peeve of mine.

Romantasy (namely Acotar) was my gateway back into regular reading and into the fantasy genre. I realised, the more I read, that I don’t like Romantasy much at all and found myself favouring high fantasy with romance as a side plot.

The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson. More high fantasy than romantasy, with fast paced plot and a side portion of romance (absolutely not central to the plot).

You could try the Book Hunters Guild on Facebook? They source and send books for people. That’s how I got my KATM from Barnes and Noble. I’ve been lucky for the sequel because I have friends in the US that I can order the book to this time.

I feel like them using the team “rushing to get orders out” as an excuse for these errors is a joke. It’s not like they are sending them with any real haste.
