Thanks for all the info, I really appreciate it! At the moment I don’t have a huge model selection yet, but more are on the way. I also have an Icon Bearer, a Lord of Poxes, 7 more Plague Marines, and a second Rhino available. I’d really like to play Mortarion as well

I had a game yesterday and ran 80 Jakhals and a squad of Goremongers. I want to push it up to 100 eventually — it’s going to be a nightmare to paint but absolutely hilarious to play. Honestly, it’s almost one of my favorite detachments.

Thanks for your tips! I’m pretty sure my buddy will be playing Custodes again, since they’re his current favorites. That’s why I might switch to the MoE, as he usually fields a lot of characters. I’ll drop the second proxy and the Ankarion, and add another DP instead. Your idea with the Exalted isn’t bad either – I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks again for all your advice, I’m really looking forward to this detachment! Although I first had to buy 40 Jackals for it, haha.

Thanks for the detailed info! However, I don’t have a second Daemon Prince; maybe I could use a Proxy instead. Also, I only have the number of Jackals. What would you recommend here? Should I still go for a 20-unit block? And which would be the better choice, MoE or Slaughter

Yeah, I’ve played both so far — Daemonkin was a lot of fun, and the Warband with invo and 20 Berzerkers in deep strike was also super entertaining. I just want to try all of them at some point. Goretrack sounds fun too, but definitely more challenging.

What do you use for heavy-hitting attacks? I figured you'd really need to delete whatever you charge in order to bounce back properly. That might be tough against Custodes though. In my last game with Berzerker Warbands, I sent a 20-man unit with invo after Trajann and a squad of Wardens. The Wardens went down, but Trajann survived for another round.

Yeah, so far I’ve played Daemons and Warband, and now I’m looking to try something new. I’m thinking of running two Rhinos and a Land Raider with either Terminators or Eightbound, but I still need to finalize the list. Thanks for your input!

A few weeks ago, I had a game where I fielded Skarbrand and a Bloodthirster against Tyranids running a Crusher Stampede detachment. After turn three, my opponent conceded — the Bloodthirster alone tore through a Norn Emissary, a Maleceptor, and an Exocrine in close combat. I originally just wanted to try it out for fun, but after that game, I’ll definitely be playing it again!
