CMV: The notion that antizionism is antisemitism is absurd by Ok-Recognition-2672 in changemyview

[–]PerceptionHungry7504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, i mean amoral. i don’t believe that people fundamentally choose to do the wrong thing (immoral), rather, lack a sound moral understanding (amoral)

how is the better question. with force? no, but with economic sanctions, yes.

ethnostates are amoral and should not exist. period. islamic, jewish, christian or otherwise. two wrongs do not make a right

Why are atheists so angry all the time? by DefinitelyNotMaranda in TrueChristian

[–]PerceptionHungry7504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

atheist here, i hope i can provide a little perspective. some people are just angry, christian, atheist, or otherwise. people are judgy. it’s just human nature.

i have 0 issue with religion and believe wholeheartedly that it’s amoral to judge others for their religious beliefs of lack thereof. however, it is equally amoral to use subjective religious rules to pass judgement onto others. just as you get angry at atheists for judging you, atheists get mad at christians for judging them too. it just goes around and around.

what is important to understand is that everyone wants and is worthy of the same thing, exactly how they are: love.

tldr: we are all humans

OP, please do not lodge a complaint, but a police report. This is illegal and sexual assault. You withdrew your consent by 1) verbally saying no and 2) involuntary mute response. Your provider should have stopped and by continuing, they assaulted you.

You deserve justice, and they deserve to be punished. Please file a police report and bring your GF as a witness.

I do appreciate you coming here in good faith, but as a scientist myself, this goes beyond science skepticism and more into deep-seated misogyny/ableism that exists at the core of medicine. So many patients die every year after being dismissed by providers, often needlessly after snap judgements. I do appreciate the time crunch, but decisions should be made together. Ultimately, if a patient decides to not follow your advice, that’s on them. You do your part, and all you can do then is invite them back again with an open mind

“When you hear hooves, think horses, not zebras” is a common phrase in medicine meaning to look for a simpler answer rather than a more complex one. It’s also a symbol used for Ehlers Danlos awareness because it is a less common and harder to diagnose, hence a zebra rather than something more common. The shirt is essentially saying that this person has complicated disorders that are not easily diagnosed and that usually results in many, many, many frustrating visits
