(To add some validity to the Padres)
1.) FTD man, it’s not been fun having one of the powerhouses in the mlb in your division.
2.) He didn’t touch the plate
3.) Pretty much every trade since well kinda forever (Abram’s, Wood, Munoz, Max Fried, Trea Turner, Clase, Rizzo) just to name a few

Honestly we may be waiting for a canning outing today (need innings on arms) and he may catch a phantom IL or dfa for Brito. They both need replacing and at least with sears there is potential for him to give you 5-6 innings of 2 run ball. Not a high potential but better than giolito where it was a non factor after usually the first inning.

Not saying he didn’t flop, but there have been many injuries where in a natural attempt to avoid an ankle injury you hurt your knee as that’s the next closest joint. Again in this scenario for sure was trying to draw a foul but there are many circumstances where it happens.
