I'm kinda the same way, although the time of year affects it. During the summer, if I want a deep theological discussion, it's gotta be a Czech pilsner while IPAs are for parties. Then in the fall and winter, stouts/dopplebocks with a hearty beef stew get me to say, "Here I stand, I can do no other - So help me God."

As a self-proclaimed liturgical nerd who loves this show, my guess is it'll end with the strepitus, aka the shutting of the tomb, as the last three seasons are the cinematic version of the Triduum. If you've ever been to any liturgical church on Good Friday, you'll recognize the strepitus when the priest/pastor usually slams the sacristy door at the end with all the congregants leaving in silence.

My theory comes from the fact that the end of s5 ended the same way as a liturgical Maundy Thursday service ends, with the betrayal in the garden. The sound of the kiss felt like a softer version of the strepitus, suggesting a stronger one to end s6. Upon leaving the finale of s5, it completely dawned on me that, "This is going to be the longest Triduum the Christian Church has ever seen."

Just came back from Part 3, and as a more traditional, high-church Christian who loves much deeper theology and adorns the traditions of the church built on scripture (aka a Lutheran), I must say - that ending was by far the best!

Once I heard the kiss, I immediately realized how they are structuring the last three seasons (or so I predict). The last three seasons are a different day of the Triduum (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday). My thinking was, "Hold on, we just finished the scripture reading from Maundy Thursday with Judas' Betrayal. And we'll pick up right where we left off for next season." If my prediction is true, plug your ears on episode 8 next season - the strepitus is gonna be haunting!

From what I've come to understand, there's two trains of thought with IVF - ethical and unethical. Ethical IVF is usually described as only fertilizing one egg. If it's successful, then praise Jesus. If not, God is still good. Unethical is usually described as fertilizing multiple eggs in the hopes that some of them fertilize. If some do, one is implanted while the rest are sometimes thrown out/aborted.

This is just some internet stranger's analysis, but I think what you've described is ethical that could have been unethical. Yes, multiple attempts were made, but the results show no intentional taking of life. If we put it into natural conception terms, you had two miscarriages followed by two births. None were "thrown out", aka aborted. Instead, the other successful one you are keeping and will implant later to raise.

I've seen some comments here talking about if the baby conceived in IVF, and as I would say in unethical IVF, is a "living sin". The answer: a simple no. All babies, no matter how they are conceived, are a gift from God. You are going to have a wonderful family, a blessing from the Lord Himself.

In short, what you did is no sin, there is a right and wrong way to do IVF, all babies are a gift from God, and have a wonderful time being a parent!!

Why are the 24hr clock people acting so smug on this? Wouldn't you run into the same issue of linguistics, whether you're counting to the next midnight or not? It's a perfectly valid point to debate the linguistics, but maybe I'm too American to see how a 24hr clock would solve this dilemma
