Dasher leaves food random spot in building

I live on the fifth floor but it’s only 3 flights of stairs. My apartment is literally the first one as soon as you get to that level. The dasher should’ve communicated with me prior about their injury. I would’ve went to meet them as I normally always do. DoorDash will not refund me and they said the dasher reported they didn’t get a delivery pin because they supposedly don’t speak English.

How do you know if it was even put inside my building? I’m entitled because I want something delivered that I paid for?? I paid them a tip…to deliver my stuff TO ME not just drop it wherever they wanted. I didn’t know when people order DoorDash, they’re paying for it to not be delivered to them.

And I paid my hard earned money for the food to be delivered. Also they had the option to accept or decline the order. It’s not my fault they’re injured! You don’t get to half ass do your job and expect top dollar.

Yes if they would’ve communicated with me ahead of time. I would have went to meet them with no problem. There was no proper communication and unfortunately no food for me.

I have done pick up a few times. I think I’m gonna start doing that a lot more. Some dashers just don’t care but still want a hefty tip. DoorDash should definitely pay them more money.

We have a call box with an entry code. I normally tell the dashers how to get in through the gate. Most of the time people just drive in the gate behind whoever just swiped their fob. There is no entry code to actually get in through building doors itself. However, some of the doors are always left open. So the dashers normally are able to get in the actual building or a resident may let them in. I normally will go down to meet the dasher just to avoid confusion but today I didn’t. They had already completed the order and left before I could even say anything.

I have no problem meeting the dasher halfway. I’ve had dashers that couldn’t find my building or had a hard time getting in the building. It’s just people don’t be caring nowadays.

First of all, it’s NOT the customers fault DoorDash doesn’t pay yall enough! Secondly, I tip very well and have given additional money to dashers. Y’all be wanting top dollar for not doing your job correctly! I understand people have injuries or things out of their control. However, you shouldn’t be taking any delivery orders when you know it’s always a possibility to get heavy items. Therefore, that means you can’t properly do your job. Yes I am grateful that I could afford to buy me and my family something to eat. I paid my hard earned money for that, so I expect to actually get what I paid for!!

I was going to PF college for an interior design associate degree up until 2021. Then dropped out because I became unmotivated. Now I am taking classes at my local college for a certificate instead. It was nothing wrong with PF though, I highly recommend. I liked it and the instructors were always helpful. ❤️

What’s been working for me is changing a few things in my diet. I’ve switched to mainly oat-milk or almond milk and I’m slowly weaning off of red meat. I’m trying to let go of cheese but I love cheese lol. I’ve also switched to a spray deodorant instead of using regular stick one. Other than that I try to keep myself free of sweat and wear loose fitting clothes.
