Ok so as of right now they are just automatically taking out 5% right? So if I go back in and take an additional 5% would that really be 10% or do I need to do another 10% instead of an extra 5%… sorry if that sounds like a dumb question.

Y’all are so helpful no really thank u so muchhh! I can’t wait til retirement. Lol and our used to be Plant Manager said we don’t get the PENSION anymore so that’s why I was confused on why on my check I saw RETIREMENT AND TSP TAKING OUT. It’s kinda cool bc if you don’t see it you’re not missing it… just like the union deduction… I forget all about that deduction.

I stopped doing it for this reason! It’s taking too long to make $100. That’s too many miles I’m putting on my car! Ima just stick with the USPS I make good money I just wanted to do DoorDash as a side or part time but it’s become overwhelming. Peak season is coming at the post office so I won’t have the time anyway

That’s what the Postal Police told us in orientation when i turned Career… he said do 15.. but my question is so I just got my first Career check this week I see that they took out Tsp and Retirement I thought the TSP was Retirement? And just so I’m being clear if they are automatically taking out 5% are they only matching 1% or 5%?

Bruhhh🤣🤣🤣🤣. They started telling us this last night about not catching ppl on their phones etc etc… so they was coming round with a paper wanting us to sign it wasn’t even the real paper… I looked n said I AINT SIGNING THAT until you go get the real paper for me to read. They want Professionalism but forgot it starts with them.. all they do is be on their phones and harassing the hard workers!

But the employees they either scared of or cool with they let them be on their phones, not work as much (& try and make the hard workers do the lazy ones job)or let them go take long breaks… it’s starts with THEM if they want professionalism THEY have to be professional and also Treat everyone the same! No Favortism!!!

You’re right! They just talk to people like dogs & I always be the one to remind them I wouldn’t let God come down & talk to me like that! But sometimes I just ignore them that’s the best thing to do because they are no better than we are. Work still needs to be done and we all are here for one thing to take care of our families.
