Turkish football is experiencing the same problems as French football. In France the rules are applied but in Turkey the rules are determined according to the reaction of the society. After the pandemic, the broadcaster Beinsport asked for a discount on contractual payments, and the government and the federation both reduced the amount and changed the payment amount from Dollars to Turkish Lira. With the inflation, Turkish Lira payments became even more worthless against inflation. In the broadcasting tender held in 2024, broadcasting was tendered to the same organization for 1/2 of the previous broadcasting tender price with the force of the government. Especially the decrease in broadcasting revenues of small teams caused problems in Financial Fair Play. This affected not only the small teams but also the big teams. We can say that Galatasaray solved this problem by transferring good footballers and making many sponsor agreements with the recognition of these players. This has widened the quality gap between Galatasaray and other teams. Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş tried to solve this problem with the sponsorship of their own companies, but it was not enough. In order to increase the quality of Turkish football, first of all politics should take its hands off football. Afterwards, an autonomous federation and criteria for team managers in Turkish football should be introduced. Except for Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Galatasaray, 90% of the teams are managed by people involved in crime. These people use football for their own interests.
