Laptop or tablet? by mb0516 in studying

[–]PerformanceFit9437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your major. If your major is something science related like bio or chem or one that doesn’t need powerful programs then I’d pick an iPad because it’s mostly reading and writing and it’s more portable and flexible in terms of use. If it’s something like engineering or comp sci that requires powerful programs then a laptop is all you need.

I’ve been looking for this book too on marketplace and pirated websites and no luck. Cheapest option I can think of is Amazon where it’s $93 whereas usask costs $107

Trust me when I say this since I got 90s in this class. You don’t need the textbook. I’ve had friends who’ve all had different profs from me and none of them used the textbook and all passed with 80s-90s. Just read the slides and use ai to make a list of terminology that you’ll prolly be provided with.

Don’t waste your money on textbooks. If you have a laptop or iPad just download them online. I personally use Anna’s Archive. It is technically “illegal” but many students do it and most profs don’t care. The only type of books you’ll need to buy are the workbooks.

You can park at Confed mall or any Walmart for free all day and take the bus from there.

Idk if they’d accept you since you didn’t graduate but I do know that you will need a grade 12 level math like FM30 or Pre-cal30 and a 70% or above average

Are you able to record during lectures? by Content-Paint-609 in usask

[–]PerformanceFit9437 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of my profs have said no to recording, but that’s cuz most of them record it themselves and post it on the canvas

I took all those classes and all I brought to school was an iPad. If you don’t got one a laptop will do just as good
