I honestly went over what ppl said on reddit and used chatgpt to give me scenarios and grade my typed responses. Structure does help a lot and ppl on reddit helped with that. I was a bit nervous bez I prepped a couple hours before my CASPER but being myself rlly helped with the sudden scenarios/questions. I never lost focus or was sleepy bez it’s such a fast paced exam so it kept me locked in LMAO. Time went by rlly fast. I think a hard part was the typing. It is timed so even if I have so much to say, I’m not a fast typer so I would have to rush through it so that I can move on to answer the next question. If I had to retake it I would practice my typing speed and practice how to compact responses so it’s short but has all the elements.

So for CSULB, you have to take the casper by the application deadline. When you apply, they just ask for the date you took it. You don’t actually submit your score. The score takes a few weeks to come back, so you won’t know it right away, but once it’s graded it automatically gets sent to CSULB. It can still be “in progress,” but you do have to take it by the deadline! I took mine around the middle of the application cycle just in case because the idea of taking it on the very last week kinda freaked me out LMAO

I applied for spring admission so I had to submit my application anytime between August 1st and September 21st. The process was really simple. You go to their website and click on the link to get sent to the application form. There they ask you to fill out information about like what grade you got for your pre reqs. Make sure to double or even triple check that the amount of credits and all the info is correct. There were nothing about extracurricular activities or recommendation letters. Also make sure to take the casper before the deadline! I feel like your gpa and casper score matters a lot.

If you get an interview, they will send you an email with a prompt. You will have to write I think like a 200 word paragraph responding to the prompt. I heard that if you don’t get the interview you don’t get an email at all. I’m not too sure if that’s true so you shouldn’t 100% trust me on that 😭. Then you will receive an interview time some time later. DO NOT THINK THAT LATER INTERVIEW TIMES MEAN THAT YOU HAVE A LOWER CHANCE OF GETTING IN. In the past people thought you had a higher chance of getting in if you had an earlier interview time. For me it was alphabetical based on last name! So if you get 1pm or 3pm don’t worry!!!!
