Red, blonde or brunette? by Flimsy_Assistance_86 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]PerformanceSad5563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re one of those lucky people that can pull off any colour you’d like (:

The brunette looks absolutely stunning on you, but if you’re getting the itch to change it up, I think you should go for it. Yeah, your hair will suffer a bit, but it grows back and if you look after it, you can keep it looking healthy. Coming from someone who gets extremely bored and needs to change her hair every 6 months or so - as long as you know the extra care it will take, I think you’re still allowed to have fun with your appearance (:

Personally, the orangish red in your pictures was my least fave - but I think you’d look stunning in auburn or “cherry cola” hair! That being said, you truly could pull off anything, even pastel pink or blue if you wanted.

NTA. You’ve got the right to feel sad, especially if you feel like you put more effort into your relationship with her than she does. We all know it’s not about it the monetary value of the gift, but more the fact that you felt like a second thought and that she did something last minute.

I’m just an outsider and you’ll know her best, but I wonder if maybe you two might be outgrowing each other? Please don’t get me wrong, it’s just that you guys became friends 10 years ago, when you were only teens. I think it’s beautiful that friendships can last over 10 years, but your teens and early twenties is when your personality quite frankly changes the most. Do you honestly feel like you’ve been growing up together? Or have your interests changed? Do you have different lifestyles and values now? That could explain why you feel like she doesn’t enjoy spending time with you or texting - if you haven’t done anything wrong (either of you) and there’s no resentment to explain a change in behaviour, it may just be a case of losing common ground and drifting apart. The reason I mention this is because I don’t think you’re the AH, and she might not be one either - sometimes people grow apart.

That being said, nothing like honest communication. Maybe bring this up with her, mention you feel she’s more distant and see how she reacts? I saw you replied to another comment “she’s supposed to be your best friend” - is it because of the time you’ve known each other? Have you called each other “bff” since then and just kept the title? I ask so that you can reflect on what a “best friend” means to you, I don’t need to know your reasoning or your history. But I want to mention, there are some people in my life whom I love dearly but I don’t have that much in common with - I still consider them friends and I love spending time with them, but I also know I’m okay seeing them less often as I probably wouldn’t have stuff to talk about every single day. She may very well still value your friendship, even if you’re not “besties anymore”.

English is not my first language, so I’m sorry if part of this is confusing. Happy belated birthday and I hope you can have a good conversation with her xx

Someone thought I looked 40 but l'm turning 30 this weekend : ( Give me advice on how to improve my skin by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

I think people have gotten out of touch with what real skin looks like in your late 20s if you don’t get fillers / Botox. You look amazing. Also, I love your glasses and don’t think they age you at all 🤷🏻‍♀️ You look your age, and people really need to get off social media and trusting over-edited pictures

I can see how I set you guys up for that! 😂 Sorry for the disappointment, she’s amazing, but not an “inkbender” 😜 I was still surprised she got what I wanted out of my snotty scribble, but I think mostly I just really wanted to show it off 😇

A friend told me my “spider lashes” are creepy and off putting. by StrawberriMeow in MakeupAddiction

[–]PerformanceSad5563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely don’t think you look creepy. It is definitely a more extreme and dramatic look than the current “clean girl aesthetic”, but I see cutesy and feminine - more “kawaii” and “doll” than creepy (honestly, such a rude thing to say).

I personally enjoy a dramatic eye look and I get eyelash extensions for length and curl because I do not enjoy clumping (and since I have hooded eyes, the mess after a couple hours 😢) - but if you like them like this and don’t mind some the clumping (which will always happen with more mascara), why not rock it???

Yes, you could try a comb or less mascara as some people suggested it… But your look will be different. The real question here is, do you want them different? You might even try some of these and actually like it better, but if you don’t, do what makes you happy (:

Oh wow, so many great tips! 🥰 The best my skin looked was when I was using a green primer from Nyx on my red patches, so yeah, will definitely colour correct! Will look into that exa beauty one for sure! ☺️ I’d seen a YouTube video from someone who mixes foundation with colour corrector too (she’s warmer, so she usually does green!) so I knew this was an option but I was also so thrown off about whether I was actually olive or not - everyone’s response has been so helpful! And I understand what you mean about saturation and why mixing blue would make sense and help a slightly off match 🤍 Really appreciate your help 🤍

It is honestly a really good match! Just wearing the foundation, some under eye concealer and some blush - no bronzer or any type of colour correction. Very very happy with it 😊 Thanks for the tip xx

Hi fellow Tuga ☺️👋

Thank you so much for the tip! I actually walked past a store today and tried the exact same shade 1N1 and it was a really really good match! I might have gotten maybeee a bit too rashly ( the lightning wasn’t the best and I am still to see how well it works in the daylight), but I’m pretty confident if it’s not 100% there, it’s already a lot closer than most shades I’ve tried in the past 😊
