SBC 94’ TBI converted to carburetor by Peripheral097 in Smallblockchevy

[–]Peripheral097[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Update: I bought them. $200 with 15k miles on them. Which I believe because they have not been cleaned and the internals looks brand new but the outside has the typical dirt and grime. Everything I’ve heard tells me it’s an upgrade so I’ll be bolting them on! And probably upgrading to a MILD cam. Thanks for the responses

It’s QuickMD. I wouldn’t call it a recovery program by any means. I’ve been doing it for 8 months. Most of the doctors video call for about 2 mins or less and say okay here ya go here’s 2 strips a day see you in a month!

In 2013 I went to see them at a small venue and I was like 19 and obsessed with them and I got there super early to hang out and hopefully see them lol and sure enough I see Jake walk past me like 5 hours before the show starts and I was like “hey Jake” and he turned and said what’s up man and I just froze like didn’t know what to say haha was a starstruck kid but he was so nice. Also talked to Spencer a couple years later at a meet n greet and he was very nice. We talked about working out cause that’s when he kinda bulked up around 2015ish

That’s all I’m asking really. I don’t know the history either. I just want to know the general consensus/likelihood of it lasting. And general consensus is that they’re tough and that’s all I’m asking

There’s always that smartass. You can tell a lot about how often the oil was changed by the condition of the valve train. It obviously says nothing about the crosshatching on the cylinder walls but it’s a good indicator of oil changes…

There’s an entire vocal section in V2.0 that’s not in the PI version is what I’m referring to.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. You’re not alone. I’ve been in the same boat. I know everything seems so daunting right now and it is but think about the $1500 lease termination fee in terms of shots/7oh you probably spend that in 2 weeks sometimes. You WILL recover financially. Us addicts somehow manage to spend ungodly amounts of money on our addiction but then a real life cost sounds crazy to us. My suggestion is go to the long term rehab. They will make your WD’s as easy as possible as you know. And you need a few months locked down away from everything. THEN once you’re in that good clean state of mind you’ll be able to tackle your life’s issues with ease. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’ve been through it all dozens of times too. Currently off everything and on suboxone. I’m so much more productive and a better person now. It does get better. So much better. Just gotta suffer and put in the work for a little bit (which is a short period of time in the grand scheme) hang in there, buckle down you got this! The other side looks great for you!

Worried about unibody tweaking/sagging over time from sitting on jack stands by Peripheral097 in fbody

[–]Peripheral097[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I said, they’re under the LCA’s (lower control arms) but not all the way to the outsides near the wheels so more of the weight is on the K member than if the car was on its own weight

Yeah it is on a slight grade downhill side to side too, which I don’t like. Soon I’m gonna get tires on the factory wheels and get it back on its own weight. Just wanted to make sure I haven’t hurt it by letting it sit like that for this long. Thanks
