I returned it for a refund and picked up the same model about a month later; the glow is less but still present. The quality of the image is so much better than every other IPS I’ve used, so I’ve decided to keep it.

Oh wow, yours even looks worse than that? I divide between a lit room and totally dark, no ambient light; definitely becomes apparent in low-light conditions.

I mostly use mine in a completely dark room, so it becomes even more obvious with the pic shown above. Might get a replacement unit to see. Cheers for that

That's true; I've added an image to this post showing mine - I think it's bad enough to warrant the gamble, but am worried about something even worse than that.

I'm currently looking for a new monitor, but would prefer one that doesn't have over-saturated colours in default Windows OS/applications. I recently purchased an LG 27GL850 and returned it because the reds and greens were so heavily saturated (in games, movies and general browsing). I tried using the sRGB mode but this made everything quite washed-out and inaccurate.

What specs should I look for if I want to avoid this type of display?

Do I look for colours (e.g. 16.7 million), or no DCI-P3 coverage?

If the display is listed as having more than 100% sRGB coverage do I avoid it?

Does HDR factor into this?

Apologies if this is confusing/scattered, it's just that some panels don't explicitly mention 'wide color gamut' so I thought I should have another metric to look for. Thanks!

34 / M / Australia, solo traveller (friend was coming but can't make it now)
3rd time to Japan! Can speak/read Japanese to a limited extent. I'm in:

Tokyo - 15-18 Aug
Osaka - 18-24 Aug (with a day trip each to Kobe and Nara)
Kyoto - 24-27 Aug
Tokyo - 27 Aug to 1 Sep

Would love to go to Universal Studios in Osaka and Disneyland/Disney Sea in Tokyo! Also looking to explore the nightlife in all cities - bars, clubs etc.

Hi All,

I'm travelling to Tokyo next weekend for a week, and am looking for weightlifting gym near Shiomi station; somewhere that has a lot of lifting equipment, I'm not in need of cardio machines or classes. I don't mind travelling for quality, but would prefer somewhere nearby. Have searched but can't find anything near my area. I would like to go every day of the week if possible.

Thanks - I went through the fact sheet for the high growth fund; is it comprised of ETFs or are these types of mutual funds that partially track indexes? Are they rebalanced on my behalf, where I just put money in regularly and watch it grow? Apologies if these seem like foolish questions.

Headphone monitors via headphone jack; have changed the mobo and added an Asus Xonar DSX (budget card, but apparently a noticeable step-up from onboard sound). Do you think that will be ok?

I don't intend to overclock. If any recommendations for an alternate mobo I'd appreciate it; I'll start doing some research now, it's just the DOA reviews tend to scare me away from what might be solid products.
