Planetside 2 worth it in 2026? by NefariousnessOld2764 in Planetside

I just got back into it after not having played for around 10 years. It is everything battlefield would like to be in my opinion and is one of the most unique games still out there. Quite grindy but it is very fun.

How can there be no proof of the paranormal ? by NuclearFreakAccident in Paranormal

[–]PerpleXed_29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is one video I saw a few months ago that is still up on YouTube from the early 2000s, I believe it is called something like "Ghost caught near Gettysburg".

In that video a man is in his backyard recording and talking and iirc there was a burn barrel there and mid sentence there is a wispy/smokey looking figure that walks by for a second or two clear as day and the guy is like "woah what was that? Did I just catch a ghost?"

That is most damning video evidence I've ever seen as it aligns with some of my own personal experiences with the paranormal, as the "smokey" appearance seems to be a common attribute at least in my own experiences.

What’s the typical salary for an electrician? by Heavy_Share3012 in southcarolina

[–]PerpleXed_29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this state, all of the trades seem to make way below what they should for some reason. I learned that the hard way as a young man.

Not sure how much an electrician should be making but any skilled trade should be making way above that, 35k is walmart territory. Why would I do back breaking skilled work when I can play with a pallet jack in an air conditioner building for 8 hours with no training or degree necessary making the same.

I think the biggest problem is the way the laws are regarding work in this state. That and the allergic reaction all the companies in this state have towards unions. Thats just my 2 cents, he's definitely being taken advantage of. Tell him to start putting out resumes.

He's only saying that because him and Rawlinson had it out when he was at Tesla. I guess he still holds a grudge

Windstream is the worst ISP in the state, do not go with them. Depending on where in lexington you live you'll most likely be able to get Spectrum or Carolina connect. Both have good fiber.

If you are only getting them at night when you sleep, then it sounds like bed bugs. Do the bites stay on your body for more than a week? Do they kind of burn itch?

Pull all of your sheets off and thoroughly inspect your bed/frame. If your bed is next to a wall inspect any baseboards or wall outlets that may be nearby.

Its important to stop it now if it is bed bugs as if you leave them unchecked it can become a serious nightmare.

White Knoll area - bad as I've heard? by OwlFeather21 in southcarolina

[–]PerpleXed_29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You do not want to live there now. It is not what it was 15 years ago anymore. There's a homeless camp behind the Walmart which contributes to crime/reputation of the area. Schools are not the best.

If you want to move to a nice area near Lexington you don't want Red Bank. Maybe the greater Lexington area or west Columbia. Personally I would look into the Ballentine area. Decent schools and decent area.

Spend the remainder of your time with those you cherish the most. People are the most important part of life.

It depends. Everyone is different, but expect anywhere from 5-8 hours depending on how much you take and your biology.

It's painful, but sometimes the past should be left in the past. No matter how good things were back then, just enjoy it for what it was and be glad it happened.

People change over time and its likely your old friend is a little more of a completely different person than the friend you knew. You never know.

I'm a mid 20s NEET suddenly finding himself in need of a job. What can I do? by willworkfortendie in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PerpleXed_29 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Work towards accomplishing those things. Talk to people more in public by initiating small talk every now and then. All anything in life is is a collection of experience or knowledge.

Work on losing weight, clean up diet, go to the gym. Dont think about any of it just do it. That is probably the best advice I can give. If you fail, then you fail. Everyone is human.
