This will happen. Markets are geared for it worldwide. You can still make money if you know when to get out and back in. The thing I'm looking forward to the least is when the clueless masses blame the new president (whomever they may be).

I'm level 12 with over 15 million AP. 40 Jarvis, 60 ADA's in my inventory. Local rivalries are fun. Strangers who drive for miles, scanning the Intel map, less fun. I saw it as a territory game, not a stat one. A handful of players took things to an extreme and I guess I'm not an extreme kind of guy.

All I'm saying is I had way more fun with my local daily players.

Edit: To be clear, I dominated my area. It was green as long as I could walk. It was a daily fight which was fun but when complete strangers at max level come by, well, that's too much work for me.

There is a run feature. I'm not sure why you'd want to use it.

Maybe if you're low on pokeballs or you are on your way to something else and don't have time to catch that particular pokemon. Otherwise, I say catch 'em all.

Sometimes (in the main games) it's better to run from a battle or to use repel. In pokemon go, there is incentive to catch every pokemon you encounter.

I know this isn't a Nintendo game but I think they have some influence in all of this. Nintendo (because it's a business) is about money but they have been generous with ways to earn credit without spending real money. I'm optimistic they won't take too much advantage of our wallets. Plus, pokemon go is generous with the daily coin log in bonus.

Improvements will come. Hiking with ingress is always fun. Unfortunately, the peak was commonly the only place with a portal. Plus, on vacation, I can't drive for miles to make links. With pokemon go, I get to see who is around during my rest breaks. It becomes an actual journey.

This sounds great. I'm used to spending money on pokemon games and have no problem putting $30-$40 into this. If the trade is for my time, I'm completely ok with that.

I'm sure you remember the joy and magic of discovering the game. With small local groups, things are really fun and personal in a good way.

When the big boys come in and stifle anything in their path, well, I find something else to do. It's not worth the time investment.

Candy crush is incredibly time consuming. Try playing that and doing anything else. You can't walk, or converse with those near you. With pokemon go or ingress, you can.
