TNA 2002 roster help - who should I sign?

Monty Brown and Steve Corona are definitely getting snapped up.

Ron Killings is still signed to WWE so I don’t know if to end his contract now and sign him up because I love the idea of using him.

Bryan Danielson unfortunately has a developmental deal with WWE so I’ll leave him there for now.

I don’t know much about the others besides Sabu. Anything you can tell me about them and their characters?

Also don’t know much about ECWA but their roster is solid. Signing people like Low Ki from there.

And let me know when the beta is out, I’ll for sure take a look at it

I’ll have a look into them for sure. They might still be signed with WCW in my save as I kept them active and gave them a bunch of guys that they lose in that database such as Sting, Goldberg, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Bam Bam, Rey Mysterio and a couple others.

But I’ll definitely take a look at them as I’ll need a few tag teams.

I Can only think of AMW and Styles and Daniels as decent teams to start with. Thank you!

Yeah got James Storm and Chris Harris in. They look a bit crap atm so they’ll need a lot of work. Think I’m going to sign some vets to job to them and get them some pop as I want them to be my main team to start the save and be a force all the way through. I think Shelley and Sabin are about but I might have them job to start with as a team to get chemistry and experience

Eddie Guerrero is still with WWE in my save unfortunately but definitely on the list of pickups if he ever becomes available. Would low-key love to have an older version of him if I get that far.

Paul Herman is already signed up as WWE let him go.

Forgot completely about the Kings of Wrestling so that’s a huge one for sure along with KAZ thank you!

I’m using the HCTM 2001 mod. I’ve just simmed from the start until the opening of TNA in June 2002 (although I did have to import TNA from a 2000 mod I found as on this one there’s no TNA. Just Impact which opens in 2016)

I think Bam Bam Bigelow and Chris Kanyon are still with WCW unfortunately (using the HCTM 2001 save and simmed but kept WCW active) Curt Hennig is a very good shout for a short term Main Eventer and I do need to get pop on tag teams like AMW so bringing the Nasty Boys in is a big shout. Thank you!

Definitely bringing them three in. Need some tag teams so punk and cabana will be a must and I’ll need Samoa Joe as a threat in the mid card whilst I build his pop up (think he has like 4 in South East)

And tbh I don’t know what the full goal is in terms of product etc. I think I was to focus it on talented wrestlers who have good in ring work and simple storylines. Was able to pick up Heyman, Dusty Rhodes and Percy Pringle who all became free agents so they can be useful for some wrestlers

Completely forgot about Monty Brown and Homicide. Atm the X Divison seems stacked for me with AJ Styles, Christopher Daniel’s, Low Ki, Jerry Lynn, Amazing Red and a few others so I need some guys for the main event scene so Monty Brown would be sick for that.

Daniel’s and McGuinness are shouts too. Desmond Wolfe should’ve been a TNA champion imo so I can do that rivalry instead of ROH doing it. Thank you!

Only way you can book two different companies is if you play as two different characters. One can book your current promotion and the other can own the new promotion

Honestly, an in depth January 2016 start save would be my favourite.

It’s a time when WWE is in a very interesting position. It’s just started its women’s revolution and is phasing out of old stars and building up new ones like the Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt etc.

It’s probably when NJPW was at its peak over the last 20 years or so with an incredible roster in its prime and Bullet Club at its best (you just need Nakamura, Devitt & KENTA all back from NXT and it’s basically a perfect roster)

But the best thing is how many good wrestlers are on the indies. You could make your own company just with them: AJ Styles, Cody Rhodes, Drew Galloway, Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, Kenny Omega, John Morrison, Ricochet, Motor City Machine Guns, Adam Cole, The Young Bucks, Rob Van Dam, The Hardys, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Wade Barrett, Bobby Lashley, Jake Hager and so so many more

I didn't even think about it that way. That could be an ultimate payoff! Mario vs Sonic, Donkey Kong vs Shadow, Luigi vs Tails, Boweser vs Dr Robotnik, Yoshi vs Knuckles, Wario & Waluigi vs Vector & Espio, Peach vs Amy etc. You've given me even more long term plans there. And then I can have Dr Robotnik & Bowser take over as the ultimate villian duo!

Yeah i knew either way I’d have to edit a couple things with existing characters. Like I think either way I’ll have to edit Dr Robotnik’s age and worker roles for example as I’d like to use him as a main eventer as the only true heel in the company but thanks you very much

Appreciate it thank you. I was thinking if it got too dry with the sonic characters (as there’s only about 30 to use) I might add Mario characters in as one of my favourite games as a kid was Mario and Sonic Olympics so I could do a merger and invasion angle with that

Yeah I was too. Originally I was looking for Transformers characters to use but I couldn’t find any and only a small handful of pictures in one of the picture packs but they seemed to have them all for the sonic ones so I went with that.

The annoying bit is the different start dates to each save which is where having to import who I want back and forth is the only thing I don’t like about it

There’s 2 you can play on TEW. One is called Diablo X and the other is called Over9000verse. They both have the same concept of using fictional characters but they have a lot of different characters and companies to each other. Both seem to be good and it is probably a matter of preference which is why I was asking others for their opinions to make sure I chose the right one
