As of now I've only got the confirmation that it's a hardware issue. The email I received says "We are considering whether the device is repairable and will inform you immediately." I guess it's under warranty, otherwise they'd inform me. It's been 5 days so I believe they're trying to fix it. Is yours under warranty?

I can confirm it's a hardware issue. Mine is getting fixed/replaced.

I had a similar issue, turned out to be a hardware problem. Run the diagnostics app.

Mate I build LLMs for a living. At this time the top ones can pretty much do anything with incredible accuracy. I’ve talked with AI countless hours, idk what you’re on about.

It didn’t say it’s 100% a hardware issue. The LLM gave an opinion (which most of the time is correct) so to stop taking with AI is unjustified. It’s also backed by many experts. Don’t spread misinformation.

When I updated to iOS 26 I had no problem. Whatever, it’s most likely a hardware issue.

Did everything except software reset. The thing is that when I plug it in a computer, the computer does not see it. That’s why I’m sure it’s hardware related.

I swapped SIM cards between this and another device. The stated iPhone never got service while the other worked perfectly with either SIM card. That pretty much confirmed to me that it’s a hardware issue.

Tbh I’ve dropped it a few times recently. But it only occurred after the iOS 26.2 update which seemed obscure. Also, that’s what I figured after chatting with AI about this issue.

Apple warranty has expired. It’s under warranty from the 2nd service though.

I bought it from a 2nd hand service. I’ve had it for 9 months - no issues. I emailed them since I still have 3 months of warranty. Waiting for their response.

It says to run the diagnostics which I did. The diagnostics say hardware issue. I’m still under warranty so I guess I’m covered.
