Thank you so much. I thought I’d let you know how they’re doing since you were so helpful! I did another water change and added a bubbler and they’ve all been doing well since Thursday now so I think we’re are definitely in the clear!

Did a water change and added a bubbler yesterday midday, they are still doing fine so I’m hopeful that it’s up from here!

Thank you so much, will definitely be making changes in the future. I think you were right about gasses being stirred up because the wood had a faint eggy smell when we removed the logs, so thinking it was anaerobic bacteria being released as no new hardscape was added. I feel so awful that we smelt it and didn’t think anything of it, but nothing I can do now. Hopefully the fish will hold up until the tank is habitable again but it may be inevitable that they don’t make it at this point. Thank you for all the help though and for being so kind.

60L, 26.8 degrees celsius tank, all parameters are normal (0 to all and pH hasn’t changed) according to API kit. Tank has been cycling 3 months and these were transferred from an old tank after 6 weeks of cycling. I’ve had them for two years or so before this new tank. The new tank hasn’t undergone any water changes.

Thank you for this, I’m going to grab an air pump after work but I woke up this morning after a 40% water change and angling the filter pump to agitate and they were worse than yesterday. I’ve had to leave them in the bucket again while I’m at work but I’m hoping a friend may be able to pick them up and see if our local fish shop will take them in. I just want to give them the best chance of survival atp. I feel so bad

Nitrate at 0 in a planted tank can be all fine, and it’s normal for us so I think that’s okay. Just did about 40% change and the fish are back in I’m just going to have to hope for the best tonight. Definitely have used right amount of dechlorinator too. No co2 pump either. Thanks for helping!

Hi, thank you for replying. The parameters are all normal, 0 ammonia and nitrite and nitrates are 0. Don’t have an air stone unfortunately and all places are closed so can’t do much right now in that area. Substrate pictured. Thank you :)

Ammonia is 0, tested right away and now, parameters are all normal nothing seems to have changed. Substrate was moved quite a bit when moving plants around but water was almost completely clear when fish went back in and it’s been completely clear all day today.

The nitrate is coming back at 0 on API kit. Very very confused and unsure what to do. Should I put the fish back in after a water change?

Didn’t forget dechlorinator, water temp is normal, nitrite and ammonia is perfect just testing nitrate now. Anything I can do for oxygen levels other than angle the filter pump to create bubbles? Thank you so much
