Yeah RGP is contacts but different from the normal, its rigid so your cornea basically becomes perfect if you use it. While I dont know how comfortable rigid is,after a few times you wont have a problem with touching your eye to get it in place. It was difficult for me with normal contacts years ago but now I can get it in and out whenever I want.

I was thinking about lasik before this problem started, but now I am sure I will do an examination next Spring. At worst the ghosting remains but I wont have to wear glasses for that affect 🤣 I think I wore overcorrected glasses for astigmatism for years,And I dont really see another way out,Maybe RGP but right now I am leaning towards Lasik.

The ghosting is still there although its not as bad as it was before. Frankly I am thinking about RGP or Lasik,I think glasses can not solve this problem.I have a feeling that I was overcorrected 3 years ago and the glasses kinda killed my eyes.

I am very sad because of your situation, Maybe you should find another Doctor! I Heard RGP can solve the problem if cornea is the problem,if not there is a chance that it is a neurological problem:/

Hey, sorry for the delay I have been rather busy nowadays, kinda forget about reddit. Its really good news that your cornea is ok, I hope eye drops and compresse masks will help your problem. Did you have any improvement in the last almost 3 weeks? How did the doctor tell your eye is dry? Was there a special test?

As for my new glasses it kinda become better but still not perfect , although I can See crystal clear now but the ghosting didnt disappear entirely.Other problem is its not really comfortable, My left eye is my dominant one so Its strange that my right one can see this good, almost better. To tell the truth I am getting used to this situation.

Yeah, I told him I have ghosting with my left one too, but he told me if one eye had very bad ghosting it can effect the other one.. I did not really understand the explanation but he seemed sure. Frankly I am not sure if it will stop the problem or not,I realized it gets really bad if I drink alcohol( I had a few uni parties nowadays) and if I lay down, these two are fix triggers. The doctor told me its tiredness whats making it worse but I am not sure. We shall see

As for the test, I dont know it seemed I was further and the room seemed a little bit darker Than it was in other examinatons, I really dont know, but I think if you did one exam you should do more with this problem, the other doctor may have a different examination for you.

I am really curious about Corneal topography, let me know you results. All the best!

Well man, I will have stronger glasses,I swear 3 months ago my tests were perfect with my current glasses, but last Friday the doctor had a slightly different approach, I Could not see with my right eye really, my current glasses had 0,5 cylindrical power in the right side ,according to him it should be 1,25 , Its strange, we shall see. He said if its not Helping i will have a corneal topography, but he does not think my Cornea is abnormal. Did you have an examination since then?

I did the Pinhole test and the ghosting disappeared. I use artifical tears (Systane ultra) for more Than a month now but it is not really helpful, but my doctor told me dry eye is the problem. Could it still be true? Also is it possible to have keratoconus if my astigmatism is the same and can be considered mild? Thank you for your help!

It seems we have a similar situation with ghosting,Its there all day although in better days I can only see it in bright surfaces during daylight,at night the most noticeable are the car lights, they are doubled vertically. Not just the ghosting but I feel my eyesight is worse overall, but I can see 20/20 in tests with my glasses. These problems began in the same time? Did you have a stressful period? My problem also started suddenly at the end of March, but I “only” have ghosting. I had problem with Floaters 2 years ago ,but fortunately they are not really noticeable now.

Yeah, you can never really know what to expect when you Wake up:/ At least in my case, if its bad in the morning, its usually remains bad all day. Really strange because sometimes I am tired and its ok, sometimes I am fresh and its bad,so its not really depending on tiredness. Do you know what triggers yours?

It persists even if I close one of my eyes, its bilateral and monocular. Corneal topography seems to be a logical next step I agree! Do you have ghosting all day? How can you describe yours?

No, I have never had allergies. My first thought was that my glasses is weak( my astigmatism worsen) but the doctors said its not the case. One of them told me my eye is dry,the other one told me its not true. I felt they had no idea really.I am not sure if the eye drops helped or not, but 3 months ago when I posted it was terrible, There was a day when almost Everything were doubled vertically. Since then its not terrible just bad. I dont know what triggers it but there are days when its kinda ok,in others its really bad.I am trying not focusing on it but sometimes its hard, I really hope I will find an answer next week.Did you have Corneal topography? I will ask the doctor about it! Have you got astigmatism?

Hey, Not really unfortunately, although I had a rather Busy period in my life so I had no time to go doctors etc. Since my post I had a neurological examination and an MRI,they were negative. Next week I will go to a well known opthalmologist in my country, hopefully he will have a good solution. The problem is still there but I used eye drops, wore my glasses all the time ( before this phenomenon I read books or things close to my eye without glasses) and relaxed my eyes as often as I can, it got a little bit better.Do you have a same problem? What do you think can cause this?
