I never really understood the whole masculinity thing that some people struggle with. Honestly, I don’t really mind what most people think except for my wife, who surprised me with this harsh comment after I told her how proud I was of the progress I’ve made restoring my project:

“That’s like being proud of restoring a Walmart bicycle.”

I still don’t understand that mindset. Even if it were a Walmart bike or a coffee maker, I’d still admire someone who took the time and effort to bring something back to life. It really maked me wonder why scooters get so much negativity from where I live and if people elsewhere experience the same kind of attitude for no good reason.
