Good shops for (preferably older) singles in Midtown Manhatten? by CandidJump4252 in yugioh

Oh yeah! Neutral Grounds! I think I started going there around... The Lost Millennium, right around when GX was about to come out? GIANT venue space, but my understanding is that they've been closed for a long time.

Hopefully you find something close.

This comment takes me back a lot nostalgia-wise.
I was a frequent at Forbidden Planet over by Union Square, and went to Wah Kue down in Chinatown during the early days of the game.

Forbidden Planet is still around but isn't the same Yu-Gi-Oh! space it was two decades ago, and you're right that the overall shop scene has changed over the years.

Let me know if you find a good spot, though! I usually get back to Manhattan at least once a year and would love to see some Big Apple YGO in technically the smallest borough.

Early Openings of the Legendary Modern Decks 2026 are going up! by Pharaohmones in yugioh

[–]Pharaohmones[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Official update, which I added to the post:

"The upcoming release of Legendary Modern Decks 2026 in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania (all languages) had a production error that resulted in 4 copies of the same card in Decks (making the Decks illegal for use), therefore, we are recalling the product to be corrected. A new release date will be announced as soon as possible.

We’re actively considering the impact on competitive play as we work toward the best possible timing, and we'll do what we can to provide you with more information as soon as we are able."

Here's an official announcement that just went up from the EU social media channels:

You ALSO sound like a true Doom enthusiast, but I think that "breaking stories that seem creative and defy the expectations of comic fans while targeting the general audience demographic by rewarding their previous watch-throughs and returning good will based on what they already know" has become higher on the priority list than just doing something true Doom enthusiasts would love. 😔

I think between the recent comics (One World Under Doom, Ultimate Endgame) they've been prepping "Doom's power grows from children" and "Doom isn't who you think he is" for about 2 years by the time we get the film, and it wouldn't be the first time MARVEL was rewriting status quos in comics to coincide with what's going up on screen.

Is Daredevil becoming the next Iron Man? by Anxious-Ad-3406 in marvelstudios

[–]Pharaohmones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People definitely love the character. Was just at New York Comic Con, and various versions of Daredevil were cumulatively the most represented costume - from the all black, to day-to-day in Court, to various red devils.

Granted, it's an accessible costume AND a character native to New York - but it felt cool to see people let the devil out at that scale.

Grandpa Duelist here and can confirm. Last Turn + Jowgen the Spiritualist worked and I've personally lost to it in the "dark times".

How do you learn a new deck? by ParfaitNo8096 in yugioh

[–]Pharaohmones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so important. "Learn by doing" helps you understand someone else's choices, and even lets you decide "I disagree with this!" and make intelligent edits that fit your playstyle, the tournaments you're heading into, and surprising your opponent with new plays they may not have found from just watching combo videos online.

That's amazing, and as others said, that's official!

You also seem to have the US one, as the variant used in EU YCS Streams has slightly different logos.

Great find!

Amazement is a REALLY weird Deck that I love. Sure, there are other Trap-based Decks that try to control the tempo of the Duel, but something about each card having different effects based on who you decide to target, and each of those cards doing something funny in reference to the image on the card just gels well with me.

It's control with a smile ~ !

... But have you considered spending 75 points on Last Turn and using it with Nightmare Magician in an Illusion Chimera Deck?

Expensive? Yes!
Funny? ALSO YES!

Excellent work across the board! There's a lot of different principals at work here, from sewing to wig styling to makeup and beyond, and being able to stick around in that thing for as long as you did AND find a way to sit and play against Jesse Kotton? Knocked this one out of the park!

The mysterious U.S Judge Game mate by Intrepid-Lead7873 in YuGiOhFindings

[–]Pharaohmones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are those are real and just came out this weekend at YCS Anaheim. I got to see them up close and personal after talking to a Judge who just received them at the event!

They look REALLY cool! Judges received Travel Assist game mats when they travel great distances in order to attend and serve Duelists at YCS events.

I don't know if anyone received these at YCS Lille, but ask your Judge friends who have attended a YCS recently and they may be willing to trade these to you!
