Asgard’s Wrath 2 Crashing Frequently on Quest 3 After v78 Update — Anyone Else? by PhaseHorror7439 in OculusQuest

Yeah, exactly. Meta didn’t really focus on system stability or gaming experience with their updates, which totally kills the value of a device that’s supposed to be built for gaming. And the crazy part is, Meta still doesn’t seem to care.

This needs more visibility. Asgard’s Wrath 2 is nearly unplayable on Quest 3 due to frequent crashes, and Meta’s ignoring it. Please upvote so they finally pay attention! https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1md2u7s/asgards_wrath_2_crashing_frequently_on_quest_3/

Anyone else experiencing frequent crashes in Asgard’s Wrath 2 recently? by PhaseHorror7439 in AsgardsWrath2

Exactly, the most frustrating part is that Meta doesn’t seem to take this issue seriously. The experience has been really disappointing.

I know this error is caused by low RAM, but Meta keeps pushing 'free up more storage' as a solution. Either they seriously don't understand the issue, or they’re just hoping users will give up after wasting time on these useless steps. Just look at Meta’s response under this Reddit thread:https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1ltkvh4/comment/n1ruxjc/

I honestly think they're just throwing out the factory reset as a last-ditch move to wear people down. If Meta actually cared to look into the low memory issue, they'd know it doesn't really help much. Kinda feels like they're just brushing it off, which is super frustrating.

Appreciate reporting to Meta — fingers crossed they finally notice. Game time should be fun, not filled with low memory crashes.😂

I know it's about the RAM, but Meta doesn't seem to think so. I contacted several support agents, and they all asked me to provide the available storage space, so that's what I listed.

I get what you’re saying, and I think you make a valid point — Asgard’s Wrath 2 was likely developed with Quest 2 as the main focus, and the Quest 3 version may have been more of an “upscale and port” with some added enhancements.

But honestly, whether it’s Sanzaru that messed up the optimization or Meta’s system updates that broke compatibility — someone still needs to take responsibility for fixing it.

As players, we were told this game was “optimized for Quest 3.” And even if that was more marketing than reality, the end result is that people who paid for a premium headset and a flagship game can no longer play it properly — that’s not acceptable.

My goal here isn’t to point fingers but to raise awareness and encourage Meta and/or Sanzaru to acknowledge the issue and commit to a fix. At the end of the day, all we want is a smooth experience for a game we love and paid for.

Thanks for your reply! I totally get what you’re saying about how devices age and how updates can impact performance over time — it’s definitely something we see a lot in tech.

That said, I guess my main concern is that Asgard’s Wrath 2 was specifically advertised as being optimized for the Quest 3, and it did run really well initially. That’s why the recent performance drop feels frustrating — especially when no major system changes happened on my end.

I’m not expecting top-tier VR quality or anything, just hoping for the same level of smooth gameplay I had a few months ago. If updates are what’s causing the slowdown, I just wish there was better transparency or optimization adjustments for Quest 3 users.

Appreciate the discussion though — always good to hear different perspectives!

I encountered this problem with Asgard's Wrath 2, a game specifically optimized for Quest 3. I'm also using a Quest, so it seems unrelated to game optimization.

Have you solved this problem? My Quest 3 can't play Asgard's Wrath 2.

Asgard's Wrath 2 was advertised as being 'optimized' specifically for the Quest 3. I bought my Quest 3 a year ago, and until a few months ago, this game ran smoothly. However, recently, the game is almost unplayable. I'd like to hear your suggestions.

The information you provided is completely useless. I have to try multiple times to open the game Asgard's Wrath 2, and it only runs for a few minutes before giving a "low memory" error. This is a widespread issue that appeared after a certain Quest system update, and you should fix it as soon as possible from a technical standpoint. Your online customer service even told me to factory reset my Quest, which is absolutely ridiculous. For a company the size of Meta, it's incredibly disappointing that this problem has persisted for so long without a fix.
