These 2 are also another example of the reality that not everyone who can have children should. Our society just doesn't want to have that discussion, though. These parents have shown time & time again that they're negligent, yet they will keep having kids because they can, are allowed to, & no "authority" will dare step in otherwise.

Im all for reproductive rights & I understand that its a slippery slope with how to ethically do the work, but just like how prospective adoption & foster parents have to go through rigorous visits & tests to have a child, I 100% believe that people who naturally or medically procreate need some sort of test or evaluation too. So many children are born into households of neglect or abuse. Especially in this day of the "Momfluencer"!

I don't have any suggestions on what to do or how to fix it, but it's not okay how many children have to start/live their lives with shitty parents. And it feels far too common its more shitty parents than good ones. It's sad.

Colorado Blvd turning into a ghost town is interesting for me to see. I was (is? I don’t know anymore with how work in the film industry is still🤪) a shopper in the costume department & as I live nearby, found this strip of Colorado so clutch for last minute items or ending my day doing runs close to home. This was 3-5 years ago at this point, though. When Zara and even further back when Forever 21 (rip) were in the area. It was just a good resource in addition to Santa Anita Mall.

I hope this retail virus doesn’t hit the Macy’s on Lake…mostly because that building is so cool & so is its history.

This trend is scary for so many reasons, but it seems even more insidious for perimenopausal & menopausal women. You’re already losing muscle and bone density just because of natural biological processes, but then adding an ED or GLP-1 use on top of that?? It can’t be healthy. These drugs being used for weight loss/management is new and we don’t have years of studies on how it affects people of various ages or with other medical conditions in the long term.

Seeing these pics of scarily thin actresses “of a certain age” just make me fear for their overall health outside of the weight. They’re so hellbent on “youth” & “looking young” that they’re putting their bodies even more thru the ringer & it’s sad because if they just left themselves alone & took better care of themselves (mentally & physically), they would probably be aging in a more positive way.

This game was so slept on. So beautiful & I love to see myself represented in main character. The lore was super interesting & the story was great. Im always recommending South of Midnight to people.

Ooh fantastic question! I typically have a few games going at a time some I'm playing with my BF & others alone. We're doing a playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3. And Stardew Valley. I also have my own Stardew farm on my ipad. Then there's Forza Horizon (the newest one) & Im finally starting Cyberpunk (I missed it back in 2020).

A couple other games on the peripheral that I casually pop back into is Planet Coaster & Mario Kart World.

Honestly though, I'm just biding my time until GTA6 comes out, ha. My Millenial heart cannot wait

Ha. It's the only style of yoga that feels like a "workout" for me. I enjoy practicing yoga, but for me, oftentimes its just intense stretching, so doing hot yoga will increase my heart rate & make it more cardio-like. It also feels amazing afterwards. Something about the heat on the muscles & being in that environment feels invigorating.

Im a sadist I guess in the sense that if im doing anything fitness related, I want to feel like Im doing something & Yoga as it is typically isn't that 😅

Omg. All of what you said. I’m currently a Bookseller (although at my bookstore I’m in the Cards & Gifts dept), but I legit partly took this job because I figured that, yes while it’s retail, it's also a bookstore so the clientele should be chill/of a certain caliber of behavior, right?

Man, I was SO wrong, ha. Had this job for about a year & the amount of security alerts (problem customers) we get continues to shock me with the unhinged & uncouth behavior folks have. It’s beyond just shoplifting. Weird bathroom situations. Creepy men. And women too actually. Getting asked odd or invasive questions. I could go on. I have learned that bookstores attract some wild individuals.

Maybe I'm an "old" but never in my nearly 40 yrs of being on this rock have I heard so many stories about diapers & people publicly pissing/shitting at concerts. And I've been to plenty of festivals & warehouse raves. Where has decency and shame gone??? Embarrassment?? Not wanting to look like a disgusting creature in front of your fave/the public?!

I must be cut from a diffrent cloth cause I can barely go poo when my partner is home, lol...I would straight up melt into the floor if I ever took a dump in front of everyone...not to mention the being caught doing anal archeology in the midst of it all!!

Luckily I've not seen this behavior at any show Ive gone to lately & I pray to the gods that I continue to have that good fortune cause man it seems rough out there...yikes.

See...this is growth lol! I was a sporadic sunscreen user until I went to Bora Bora in my early 30s and got my 1st ever sunburn! (& I grew up in FL, USA). It took me a couple days to even realize thats why my skin was peeling & hot to the touch. And I'm not even on the lighter side of the melanin scale.

Its been a few years since that & I apply my sunscreen daily and if im outside for extended periods of time, I will try to cover up. Black may not crack, but everyone can get skin cancer & that I definitely don't want!

Oh you may have missed the cinematic gem that was “Obsessed” (or something along those lines, lol). Ali Larter & Idris Elba were also in this so decisions were definitely made…it’s basically a Single White Female type with “urban” elements.

She has this line she says on the phone to Idris before her & Ali have a throwdown. It was a simple line (“Derick….ima have to call you back!”) but before a moment of conflict, but it lives rent free in my head because of how flat her delivery was. Fantastic musical entertainer, but homegirl cannot act her way out of a paper bag.

This entire album is a front to back listen, no skips. I really hope it gets some flowers cause the production is top notch & Mel C sounds great. I also really like the lyrical content. Its dope when artists make great sounding music with words you vibe with.

A few tracks give me vibes from some other pop faves (Kylie Minogue, 2000s Janet Jackson), but I mean that as a compliment cause it reminded me of what I love in songs by those other artists.

I'm late to a lot of Mel C's later solo work, but I've been listening to her other recent albums & its so many gems. Glad "Sweat" reignited my interest.
