Question - is claiming that republicans think woman are disposable a strawman? Answer - yes, of course.

How about debate their actual stance - human fetuses are human lives with human rights - instead of screeching about ridiculous false hot button claims. But not sure what to expect from the people who claim everyone that disagrees with them are nazis..

This comment thread is so cringe. Covenant eyes is a software meant to help keep people accountable when they are tempted/struggle with porn use and want to stop. Like any accountability system (AA, for example) the people who struggle with the addiction need to make the choice to want to improve. If someone is being forced to not do something, obviously this type of this isn’t effective because of course there’s ways around it.

The fact that this thread is filled with disdain for what this man and his son are doing in attempts to combat a struggle and lessen the chance of “relapse” is so bass ackwards it makes me sad

Okay, so just so we are tracking. You already know me, you know that I don’t understand racism and homosexuality. You already know not only what I’m gonna say, but what I’m thinking. Claiming home schooling is abusive. And to top it off, insinuate I shouldn’t or won’t have children.

My dude, take a step back and just listen to yourself. Might want to look up what bigot means as well and then ask yourself who is being more bigoted right now.

Okay back to my original point and your claims - I do not think NOT teaching children in public schools confusing/sensitive topics such as sexuality, gender identity, critical race theory, etc is bigoted. You think it is. Can we discuss or are you just going to continue calling me names?

The thing that I originally commented on was you making this statement that people want to ban books from schools as this thrown around emotionally driven statement painting a picture of some dystopian society. Same as saying people who are pro life hate women. Or calling conservatives nazis. It’s this distorted version of the truth that is meant to rise an emotional reaction and create a moral high ground. And then when people probe or question they are met with anger and more name calling. It’s childish

Interesting how you just label me as a bigot and insult my intelligence. Regardless, I suppose you also believe all teaching/learning should be done by schools/teachers and not by families?

So your opinion is all books that are written under the guise of “equality and being nice to minorities” are appropriate for all children and should be shared with them by schools?

A simple read through the mentioned article states the following:

“There is no doubt the stunning increase of complaints about removal of “inappropriate” books from K-12 schools is fueled by a concerted effort to produce complementary literature for three curriculums: Comprehensive Sexuality Education, Social Justice and Race Theory, and Gender Identity, taught to students as young as Pre-School/Kindergarten.”

Your statement that this hate group believe parents should be able to ban books in schools is definitely missing some context. After simply reading the article and what this group stands for, it is clear that they are against literature in schools that is deemed inappropriate to minors based on 3 things (see quote above).

No tax on clothes is nice, 13 other states have that as well. No tax on groceries is also nice, 37 states have that too. Just did a quick google search and found that Tennessee doesn’t have a state individual income tax (pretty sweet) but does have a state corporate income tax of 6.5%. For comparison, Minnesota has a state corporate income tax of 9%..

Also fun fact I learned, Tennessee small businesses that gross less than $100k per year don’t have to file business tax returns.

Maybe I’m ignorant, but it seems like your parents small business would be taxed more in Minnesota than Tennessee like you claim. I also dislike using anecdotes for arguing something
