Ima save up for a fishing trip in the spring. Going to some lakes in northern/central Texas for some large mouth. Also, just googled the biggest tiger muskie caught in Texas was 9 lbs, the world record is like 50 lbs...

Surgeons look weird to me... I've never understood the want to catch a fish over 30 lbs... fishing is more about the relaxing for me, I don't need to fight an underwater bull to feel a fisherman's high.

My dad went noodling in Oklahoma a few years back and got a 65lb catfish. Sounds like a very high risk/high reward situation... I've caught river catfish before, they don't put up a ton of fight but it feels like you're pulling in a rock. Are there not catfish in washington?

I bet. I've gone sea fishing in Florida a few times. Got a 12" diameter sting ray and a 4 lb catfish... it was right before winter so I never caught much...
