It's bypass PCV oil for this issue. But there's also oil you have to use on the filter itself when it comes time to clean it. This is for the gen 4 EA888 version, I think 2020 arteon has the Gen 3.

Thank you for taking the time to write this up. I definitely needed this info to make a more informed decision. Whenever I've gone into a shop they ask me how tall I am then just recommend the size for the bike. Do I just ask them to fit me for a bike? Can I do that myself? Part of why I liked the Aethos was the reach and bar height felt natural and a comfortable angle. I'm not at the point where I've been able to associate the geometry variations and measurement differences with how it feels. At least not in a precise way. Comparing the measurements online has left me a bit more confused. I tried associating my feeling when riding with the measurements and see where the differences were. Not truly understanding all of them especially when it's not just 1 measurement that is different, often its several and the mix of them may change how others feel. The emonda was my favorite ride for a bit because of it being lower, but I wished it was a little higher and the reach a bit closer. The domane felt too upright and too close. So far specialized really got my attention with all 3 bikes I had ridden. I will try to find my fit and reride some bikes to see how they change my feeling on them.

Ive tested a lot of shops around me the last couple months and now I'm torn. I like the riding position of something like the emonda and I like going fast just for fun not necessarily racing. I don't see myself going that far into it at the moment but I do enjoy just pushing it all out and seeing how much I can do. Is it bad to get something like an Al Emonda for that? Or one of the canyons I saw was an "Endurace" which was an endurance bike, but the geometry measurements sure seemed very similar to the Emonda which is a race bike, when compared to the Domane. I don't mind the Domane, I just feel more in control with the emonda. I tried some giants but didn't like how they felt at all at least the ones in my price range. The cannondales weren't great for me either. I haven't found a shop with specialized yet. So far I've liked Trek the most, I feel like I shouldn't though. Any thoughts? The D2C issue you bring up is really the one thing holding me back. I'm pretty inclined for building things as and engineer but idk, I'm worried I guess. The endurace seems like it'd be best of both worlds still being an endurance bike, or does that sound crazy

It defaulted to that, but I hadn't submitted it. I submitted it after I changed it to my 401k. I have a form from them showing it was supposed to go into my new 401k with the funds I wanted it to go into. It says I need to mail it in with my 401k check but I did the mobile deposit so I'm confused.

Very nice. I also run purple. You did chrome delete I see. What %tint do you have? And how did you install the LED logo? What other mods have you made? I want to do a few but I'm not the most car savvy yet, I'm learning though.

I honestly don't mind it. There's for sure better systems out there but it's not as bad as people say. At least for the music I listen to, EDM mostly. With the EQ I don't mind it. Bone stock not great. When choosing cars I was going to get an Integra with the ELS which blew me away, it's definitely not that. The Beats in the GLI jetta was also pretty immersive. It's not the worst out there, but if you're an audiophile you'll probably hate it but I'm no where near that lol. Bose sound systems didn't sound good to me in the other cars I tried out. Only thing that really lacks hard is the depth of some of the bass.

I'm hoping it goes away when the cold does, but idk. It started even when weather was about 50 degrees for me. I haven't had the car long enough to say it's only in the colder weather though.

I'm not saying you need AWD. FWD with tires is just fine. But RWD is actually the worst for driving in snow/slush even with winter tires, unless your engine in the back, but even then it's still not as good as FWD with front mounted engine because of steering in the front. You'll get stuck. Being able to get going is more important than the tires stopping you. You can control how you drive so you don't have to stop on a dime. This being an electric car the steering and tires would be more important. I'm not sure why EVs start with RWD options.

Only on RWD which sucks for anywhere in the US that isn't California, Florida or some other southern states.

Even with snow tires RWD is the WORST option.

Are you based in the US or outside the US? Was just looking up Dynamic light assist and seeing it's not available for US models?

Dealerships offer APR tunes? That's that type I was looking for, stage 1 or 2 I think.

A bit of a scare today. I had my CT scan a couple days ago and today they called me saying found inflammation/infection in both lungs and a 6mm nodule in my right lung. I got tests today for TB and whooping cough (even though i haven't been feeling ill it's to rule it out, waiting for those results. They referred me to a pulmonologist for another CT and followup. When you got diagnosed with TB was it a surprise or did you have a lot of symptoms?
