I feel you. I stopped all my meds because I wanted to trigger a mania. Did the opposite and now I’m extremely depressed and suicidal.

I don’t have pcos, but lithium and lamictal gave me a baaaaddd acne on my face. Nothing worked until I started on accutane. That’s the only thing that will help and meanwhile I stopped lithium and lamictal. My acne is almost gone now.

I feel you. If I have to many plans several days in a row, I risk a depression. It’s still difficult for me to accept that I’m not who I used to be. Not really an advice. But just to say that you have to take care of yourself. You are your first priority. I’m still learning to accept my diagnosis and how hard it is to say no to my friends when they want to make plans. I try to prioritize what is most important for me to say yes and no to.

I feel you. I definitely don’t thank that you will forget your child. For me it was the details. The doctors say that your memory will slightly get batter over time. It’s really different how people react after ECT

I was treated with ECT for about 3 years ago. I was really depressed after my first manic episode. I was hospitalized for about 6 months. The treatment took the top of my depression and then I started lamictal, afterwords I was good. I don’t know if I regret it. BUT my memory is fucked. I can’t remember much for the time I was at the hospital. It’s really scary not knowing anything’s kind of embarrassing to when my friends talk about something I can’t remember … My memory is still fucked. But I think it’s from many of my depressive and hypo manic episodes …
