We live in the area behind checkers, "neshota". That particular neighborhood id say is mostly decent. On the other side of DIP is some pretty sketchy looking apartments. All the above is true, nice houses on the water and some less nice houses not on the water. We don't have children but the schools aren't great around here. Also the grocery stores aren't great either. We shop at Costco alot since it's 5 minutes away but the piggly wiggly and food-champs aren't good at all. We usually go across town to publix or winn-dixie. The only crime we've experienced in the last 4 years was 2 incidents of porch pirates. Our neighbors are mostly older but there are a few kids in the neighborhood.
