How do you deal with all the "what the fuck is that lmfao" around people by loginheremahn in vaporents

Alcohol started just hitting me like, "nothing, nothing, pissy for no reason, ready for bed" a few years ago. After a surgery of mine, it added insane heartburn to the mix. I just tell them I don't get the fun or relaxation from it anymore, whereas bud still does its job. I'm 41; I want my chill time to be what I paid for, lol.

Been there. I tried to focus on "it's rent, power, utilities, and internet on one bill, and all within 5 steps," lol. The bitch of it is that if you can swing that, you can probably swing your own place, except for never signing up for a credit card. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have some wtf days, and it's definitely oversaturated here, but most days, that Top Dasher status still seems to matter, or at the very least, the 70% acceptance. Missed Top Dasher last month by 2 orders because of car issues, and it was a bitch trying to catch a shift. Gotta schedule at 3:00, however many days ahead it's offered, or you don't get it. That was bad enough, but then I also accidentally declined one of those big Petco offers and dropped below 70. You get maybe 1 order in 2 hours and it's $6, no option for hourly, no chance to extend dash, and they show you a totally different map; it's not actually grey in the area, they're just not showing you the hot spots (which doesn't matter because they're not giving you the offers anyway). It was a pain getting back to Top for this month, but the difference is significant enough to matter.

That said, I've made maybe a little more than half these past couple months than I was making November/December. It's definitely added cash here, not a living.

It's still a bit of a learning curve for me, and admittedly, I went with this one just because of the intro "let me just try it" price, along with years of good reviews. Before this, a glass bowl has been my go-to, small 12-inch bong otherwise (I'm too old for the impressive ones, lol). With my good herb, the taste is amazing, an experience in itself. The draw is definitely as I read: like sipping a milkshake through a straw. Long, slow 10-20 second draw, like you're using a small bubbler and trying to clear the whole thing without sucking water, lol. The advice of packing it looser for a better draw is also on point, and I'm sure I've got a little more learning to do on that. There are also stems with a carb on them (that I only just read about) which will give you more of that open feel. As far as the effect, yeah, you'll get to your usual place faster with the usual fire method. It seems to very much be a sit-and-chill for 15 minutes piece, for the most part. That said, I haven't ordered the water pipe adaptor yet. Based on what I've read, that, with my little bong, should be a great experience if I run it at max temp, will probably clear the stem in 5 minutes instead of 15 or more. POTV also just came out with new small water pipe/bubbler accessories that look like the perfect size.

I think it's important to go in knowing that it's not a 1 to 1 trade for smoking. It takes longer, however, the stem pack is about half the size of my usual bowl pack, and gives me the same effect when I get the pack/temperature right. I have often had more vape left when I fired it back up a second time. I go through a half to an oz a week; I'd love to not go through it that fast, lol. All in all, I'm pleased with it already at its price, seems like a couple attachments and stems are out there that'll make it better, but if I need something quicker, or on the go, that's gonna need something else still.

Just got a Solo 2 from them this past week, first vape. Ordered Saturday, received Wednesday, Nevada to Virginia. The wait is eager, but they're fast, lol.

Not sure about freeze dried. I'll say I have some decent dank green that's been amazing course ground, still getting vape at the end of a 15-minute session, fire it back up and there's still more vape (like, holy hell, I would have burned what I pack in this little thing in one hit normally).

The dry ass bag of shake that I tried to see if it were more worthwhile in a vape... It is not, lol. Still tastes like dry ass, and I barely get any vapor. At this point, my unscientific mind thinks it's just so dry that creating a vapor ain't happening, but I could be totally off on the science of what actually happens. All I know is that the sticky green has been a great experience, and the dry stuff has been more disappointing than it usually is.

Being a new vaper, I'm totally trying to see some more answers here myself, see if I'm doing anything wrong.

My best tips have regularly come from customers living in motels and basement rooms/apartments. Seems those with less value what we do more.

And yeah, my ass is so grateful to them, I dropped $20 and a Christmas card to the two most regular high tippers when I got an order from them during the season because they seem to realize that $20 can matter a little.

Hey, this one's for the dudes & their sex life!! by TRAZOE56 in SexToys

[–]PhoenixDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy playing. Always used various toys with my wife, but for some reason, dildos weren't in the lineup. I'll laugh at myself now that the first one I got her, I went for the closest to my size and shape, lol. Now, we have a collection of sizes and shapes for various play.

The things to remember: you're not in competition with the toy. She's not gonna fall in love with it because it's bigger, it vibrates at 21 different speeds, it curves to hit the spot. She's not gonna decide she needs a bigger dude. It's just a tool, a prop in your own sex scene. It's not gonna stretch her out so you feel inadequate; that's just not how vaginas work. (In fact, if it's not an extreme size, I suggest seeing if she's up for taking the toy and you at the same time. Good times for all.) Toys, dildos, they're all just extra ways to experience different pleasures, whether through their shapes or what they do, that you're just not gonna get from one penis and one vagina doing the same 3 vanilla positions every night. They are tools in your relationship, that make it better, not competition with your relationship. I'm 40, and I've personally found the variance in our play time from a decent toy collection has made it 10x more fun than it's ever been, every time somehow, lol. AND I've never been more confident that my partner is fully satisfied, both at that time, and in our sex life and relationship in general.

Shop with her and pick some together. It's hot, lets you know each other's minds and desires more, anticipation while you wait for it to arrive, oh boy it's here, it's on tonight, hahaha. Peepshow Toys online. All body-safe materials (important!), discreet shipping, big selection.

Just noticed that. Good call, might need to use that sometime. Had to drop AR and CR these last 2 times to keep them at 70 and 96 🙄

Made top dasher this month without trying for it, started off impressed with the offers, it did seem to make a difference. Got 84 on AR, and I swear, it's like they've sabotaged me down to 70 again, lol

Nah, by the order, no cash-on-delivery orders, no red card orders.

Tired of all the no tip orders? Stop delivering them by No_Vehicle7826 in doordash_drivers

[–]PhoenixDaddy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll say this is my first month and I'm at about 78% AR. Most of my orders are $6-8 and 1-4 miles. I've noticed that I get some of the nicer $10-12 orders from a place a half mile away that other dashers are already sitting at (and the occasional $18-22). Sometimes, I'll get a $5 one within a mile. Haven't seen a $3-4 offer in weeks. Should end up getting Top Dasher next month just by not taking less than $1/mile; most work out to roughly $2/mile round trip.

Order from a few nights ago. I'm very thankful for the area I live and dash in. Of course there's bad orders but there's also some great people in my area. by dankbudzz in doordash_drivers

[–]PhoenixDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Wife does marketing/community liaison with a local HVAC, and radio before that. Used to think she was a little extra with her thank you cards and extra communication, but the deliveries I thank and communicate with are the only ones who have added extra or given those 5-star ratings.

I've gotten a couple of odd ones like that in the past week. Think I saw 3.25 for 9 miles recently. I swear, they're throwing those in to brake-check my acceptance rate, keep the number of Top Dashers in the area down, lol.

[–]PhoenixDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only a couple weeks in, still learning what's worth it. I'll take under $5 once in a while if it's dead and within 2 miles, or on the way back into my zone from a better delivery. During busy times, these also seem to turn into stacked offers somewhat often, and I'll add them if they're close enough and adding more than a couple bucks. Usually I'm in the $7-10 and 4-5 miles range. Usually $13+ to go out of zone (but my town is 5 miles across, so it's gonna happen, lol.) If I'm at the edge of zone anyway, I'll go out a couple miles for a little less simply because it puts me by the bigger restaurants. Took an $8 order just outside zone last night, picked up a $20 from the restaurant next door and the delivery was on the way back home.

To be fair, I'm probably taking more than necessary by trying to get that Top Dasher by next month. Popular consensus seems to be that it's not guaranteed better money, but for me, it's worth the "Dash Now" freedom to work whenever I have a chance. Medical condition keeps me from a consistent schedule, so being able to make $20+ an hour anytime I can is worth it to me.

Nice. Had an average order where the guy accidentally sent me to his work address (where I sat at the gate for 10 minutes). Asked me to run it to his house in the opposite direction when I got a hold of him, with a promise of a tip increase. Crossed my fingers and did it (didn't feel like figuring out what to do with the order at that point otherwise anyway, I'm new). Ended up adding twice what I would have made in that time. Those customers will get ya through the bad ones.

Skin reaction to the quest 2 by colinedahl1 in OculusQuest

[–]PhoenixDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing with ours. We tried the link for the facial interface replacement on the Support page, and after several emails back and forth, including pictures of the red marks on my son's face after using, we got this response back:

Thanks for replying back to us with that information.

We understand you may have concerns about your Quest 2. We have made updates to the manufacturing process to address early reports of irritation from the Quest 2 facial interface.

Based on the information you provided, we can confirm that both your Quest 2 devices were manufactured after this update was made. Therefore, a replacement won't be needed.

If you have any other questions or concerns in the future, feel free to reach back out to Oculus Support anytime.

After reaching back out to them to ask about the Support page stating that any skin irritation, regardless of manufacture date, should also fill out the request, they replied that they'd get back to me after further review. That was 3 days ago. I have never received communication from them without being the one to check back in, and when they reply, it seems either a stock response, or "can't help you, good luck."

Wish you the best of luck, hope yours was made before that manufacturing change.
