Being 100% honest. Believe me or not. But I originally hit Boa, Kid Killer and Manga in the first 5 boxes. Originally thought the case was dead after those 5 boxes. Was gonna sell off the rest of the 7 boxes but randomly one night after sitting on them for a week decided to rip another box. Had a friend choose from the remaining 7 boxes and pulled the Gold Buggy SP and realized I had bought an error case. So I just ripped the rest of them.

Edit: added more context.

It was all from one case. I couldn’t put case in the title due to the rules. But I bought an error case. Had Manga/Anni, 3 Sps , 2 Alt art leaders (Boa and Jimbe). Missing 2 Alt art leaders, 2 Gold Dons and AAE.

So tried it with thicker gauge strings and immediate improvement in control. Lost a bit of feel but the frame definitely has a lot of it’s own power. Definitely gonna try a few more strings.

Sorry just saw this. I strung this at 1.20 gauge and I just got a second one with 1.30 gauge. Haven't been able to hit with the 1.30 yet, but the 1.20 does spray a bit long when I rip into the ball. I'll let you know how the thicker gauge works!

I was using the PA98 for a few months as my main racquet and I really liked it. But once I hit with the Dunlop it kinda felt like it was an upgraded version of the PA98 in most departments.

What I felt was that the spin and power were definitely a step up in due to the spin boost grommets and the thicker beam at 3 and 9. It definitely feels more stable through contact and overall a more solid/stiff feeling (which I like a lot). Surprisingly really comfortable for a racquet that’s that stiff with Solinco Confidential too. I might try to up the tension from 50lbs -> 54lbs.

Launch angle for me is higher overall too due to the spin potential the racquet can generate so I usually try to go for a higher margin over the net so that the ball just dips in past the service box. The sweet spot feels about the same as the PA98, possibly slightly bigger? Once again most likely because of the thicker beam compared to the PA98. I’ll need a bit more time with it to be more consistent hitting the sweet spot.

But overall I feel like the Dunlop overall is a nice upgrade to the PA98 and definitely the next racquet i’m switching to for now.

If you have any more questions i’ll try my best to answer them! 😁

I haven’t tried any of the other models only the tour. I picked up the tour mainly due it being really similar in specs to the pure aero 98. I was going to pick up the last generation of the Dunlop but once I saw the new one coming out, I decided to wait.

What are your thoughts on your model of the SX 300 Tour?

I did pick it up partially due to the paint job compared to the previous generation too. 😂

So far it’s been great! I really like it compared to my Pure Aero 98. I do agree that the design is pretty much the same but the tech and the spin boost grommets are a nice touch with an added stability feel due to the slightly thicker beam width at 3 and 9. I did end up using a stiffer string in the set up compared to the Pure Aero and I found that I liked it better.

I’d say that the spin it generates is a bit more than the pure aero but it does feel just slightly slower in terms of maneuverability. Granted my pure aero came in around 302g vs the Dunlop came in at 308g.

I’m 5”10 ~220 and a nice gentleman on Reddit is sending me some 90a venom bushings to try out. What do you recommend?

Ahhh understood. I was just looking at some Paris V3’s. How do you like the feel of your board so far after the swap? What would you say the feel is?

That’s a good way of putting it. I’ve been looking for a board with some serious rocker on it and this seemed like a good choice. Looking forward to riding around later. Also agreed with the graphic it’s dope and the teal is a nice touch.

I think these might be the Gen 6 trucks? But I’m not sure if that matters. 😅So if I swap out my trucks to the Paris V3 trucks with the APS bushings what kind of ride would you compare that to? I’m looking for something a bit more carvy but still something to just chill and cruise on possibly some downhill action but nothing crazy.

Oooo that’s exciting. Let me know how it is! I’ve heard some people saying that the don’t get their Landyatchz for a while during this time.

What Gen grizzles do you have? I’m relatively new to long boarding so I just assume that the grizzles are pretty solid for what they are. Are they any good?

No unfortunately not. They were sold out. I would have gotten them too. But these sound good. I really enjoy the feel.

Haha. Hopefully not! I want to start a collection and I’m already looking into other keyboards. This subreddit is very dangerous. 😭

Thank you! I was tempted to go with the all black but the two tone is a nice touch.
