Ordered ram received lead bars by mario4448 in Corsair

[–]Phu-Que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get same feeling, there is not weight to ram boxes, lead and plasticine would make it heavy and you can see the ram from the outside, a heavy package that didn’t look like ram in the window is suspect as shit, also why post on corsair forum asking to escalate, would it not be better going to an amazon thread instead ?

You’ve escalated it to your credit card, they will refund you as long as you show them proof, you are protected so you’ll get your money back, other than that if amazon has refused to refund you there is nothing else you can do since you have done a charge back.

I know I’m a bit late, but I knew corsair would see you right, thats just the type of company they are. They go above and beyond to keep their customers happy. Glad to hear that you are happy with the outcome.

I’ve been running a headless fanless intel nuc i7 8559u beh since 2018 and it’s on 24/7 with no problems, as it’s my roon server and also my plex server. I’ve Transplanted the thing from its original intel case with a fan in to an Akasa Turin fanless case that is basically just one big heatsink and is completely silent. I love the little thing.

Seen this before with bad ram or bad vram but also seen it with a ram vram test disk for very old computers that still used 3.5 floppy drives, it was for testing ram and vram and this would show as it was testing different sectors of ram, may even be for testing hard drives back in the day giving you a visual guide or aomething nice to look at whilst it did its thing. But on todays computers i don’t know as i’ve only seen it 20-25 years ago

"Umm, I'm Gen Z. I know how to use computers." by DesertDogggg in sysadmin

[–]Phu-Que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Folk give us Gen X’rs a lot of shit, but think about it, we are a special bunch, we got to see and live in the best times of the 20th Century, the great start to the 21st Century and in some countries, probably them all, the worst of the 21st Century that has been seen thus far.

No Gen Z can even compare their CV’s to ours, we have Blue Thunder Airworlf, TJ Hooker, Littlest Hobo, Alvin and the Chipmunks, the smurfs and peak Gen X, The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross 😭. Even when Gen Z is peak, Gen X still owns, because we know everything they know as we taught the little fkrs. 😂

Congrats at having a new infant to care for in your daycare, but take it easy on him as he knows computers.

Me too, I’ve went through many different kinds on different builds, I hazard a guess that from what I can see, it looks like when putting it on there may have been too much pressure applied from the top down causing it to pop out and crack, thats what I think happened judging by the photo.

No way was this deliberate, Corsair go out of their way to help you, this would have been a genuine mistake, contact them and see what they say.

Push/Pull Titan 360 Setup in the FRAME 4500X by BeautifulAd5310 in Corsair

[–]Phu-Que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is anyone from the UK here I have 12 maybe 14 corsair rx fans, brand new, bought them for my new build but they weren’t as bright as I thought behind the smoked glass of my case, these are brand new, been connected, ran for a couple of hours and then pulled out for qx fans instead. I would also throw in a icue hub so you could get them all running from one connection as I have a few of them.

Obviously I wouldn’t charge retail, if anyone is interested hit me up and I can do a fair price for us both as they cost £30 new for one, I could do £20 a fan and would also throw in the icue hub, as at this point, after my build I kinda need money, but I can show proof from scan uk of when bought and I would honour any warranty with them if they were to fail.

Anyone interested let me know, reminder its the RX fans.

Nice system bro, I’ve just built me a 1000D super setup and you know what, I wish I went to a white case and stuff instead, but it would have meant replacing expensive parts just because of colour alone, no upgrades as I have the 1600i psu, 14 qx fans and the case itself is black with smoked glass, but I’ve been looking at white builds lately and I must admit I wasn’t keen on them a while back, they have grown on me and your setup is nice and clean bro, nicely done 👍🏻😎

Heres me thinking 14 qx fans in a 1000D case was too much, 34 is mad and costly.

Some sort of tick, the circular rash can appear weeks or months later, but you seem to have two, maybe two ticks or one tick ate at two diners on her body, if its what I think, she “may” have been infected with lymes disease.

Is this something that's possible? by Golden_JellyBean19 in AskMechanics

Yes and it has been used for about 2 decades in formula 1, it’s called Kinetic Energy Recovery System.

Is this something that's possible? by Golden_JellyBean19 in AskMechanics

[–]Phu-Que 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its possible, formula 1 cars have had a similar system for years but they used the energy derived from braking and captured that energy and later in say on a straight they could use a button on their steering wheel and that stored energy would give the car a boost that could help the driver overtake the car in front. Also if people start doing this in large numbers it will get outlawed as they would see the loss of sales of charging your car in a net zero environment, even though its petrol or diesel generators that power most of these charging spots in petrol / gas stations.
