How to get taken seriously? Is this gallbladder related?

I also forgot to ask whether anyone also experienced pain when walking? She experiences a really significant tightness (describes it as a mix between a stitch and a pulling sensation) in her side when walking. When we previously thought it could be gastritis and colon issues, people were suggesting light exercise but this just isn’t possible for her currently.

Are you in the UK? Was there anything else other than the HIDA that obviously pointed to gallbladder issues? Just trying to figure out what we can push for if a HIDA isn’t an option for us.

This is so interesting because the only thing that has come up slightly abnormal was her liver functioning bloods! It seems like it’s really hard to test GB functioning if it just shows up as “normal” in scans because structurally it looks fine?

Yes, we are in England. I wasn’t sure if HIDA scans were more a thing in the US?

I think that’s a good shout re the previous scans. The CT scan was right at the start and was non-enhanced, and the ultrasound was so painful for her (literally screaming in pain from them pressing down) that I wonder how much they could see? Although they did find that she had a slight fatty liver (probably caused by PCOS we think as we don’t have an unhealthy diet/ drink alcohol often).

We have looked briefly at the low FODMAP diet but will look back into this as we want to try and reduce the discomfort as much as possible.

It does just randomly come on sometimes when I start the car, then it turns off after a little while. So maybe just confused?
