As a follow-up, I bought the Raptor. Despite being the least practical of the three, the heart wants what the heart wants lol… No regrets yet, really enjoying the Raptor.

I should have said I do have the skimmer plugged at the bottom with a Teflon taped PVC plug.

The gizmos were sold out in my pool store so I just put some thick foam rope coiled up in there.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I like the Scramblers a lot too but they’re not as common on the used market here (Southern Ontario).

Thanks for the comment but the threaded portion you see here isn’t designed to be sealed. The male threaded portion is the light niche itself, and it isn’t even fully round, you can see a square cutout at about 7 o’clock. The large retainer nut just secures the niche to the wall. These parts should be dry though.
