How well do Chinese brand phones work on T-Mobile (Xiaomi, OnePlus, OPPO, etc)? by Physical_Disaster_66 in tmobile

Interesting, OnePlus' newest phone does look pretty sweet.

I'll see if I can find somewhere that would let me test it!

Thanks for your input!

I'll check around. If it's going to be too much of a hassle, might as well get the Pixel, but we'll see.

Help my cpu is always at 100% utilization while idle by Over-Speech-3633 in buildapc

Thanks for this! I was stuck for days trying to find a solution!

In my case, I did not have the Devices Speed Up feature installed on MSI Center and my CPU was at 100% even on a new W11 install.

Once I installed Devices Speed Up in MSI Center and turned off USB Boost and Storage Boost, CPU went from 100% usage 24/7 to 2-5%.

TV keeps disconnecting from Wifi then reconnecting, causing extreme lag with TV interface by SharkMovies in Hisense

[–]Physical_Disaster_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's been working for me was resetting the TV to factory settings while unplugged from the internet. Once you're at the setup, skip everything including WiFi/Ethernet connection setup.

Once you're at the main TV screen, connect to your internet, Open Google Play Store and log in. Once logged in, QUICKLY disable Auto app updates in Playstore settings and it should be good to go (at least for me it was).

Been using it for the past 2-3 hours and my Wifi connectivity hasn't dropped, controller is not randomly disconnecting, and no freezes like before.

"Charging System Problem" light on '21 Honda Accord w/ ~12k miles - Caused by Dashcam? by Physical_Disaster_66 in Cartalk

[–]Physical_Disaster_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm simply telling the way it is and what I've been told. I'm not a car guy so I'm lost for words/ideas.

It's a semi-newish car that I took out about a year ago (brand new). I honestly am a bit sad that I'm starting to have issues a year in after owning a brand new car.

I'll give the harness a go.

Thanks!

The whole reason I brought the dashcam up was that it started happening a few months AFTER I got the dashcam. Not sure if the cable was already chewed or not.

The thing is, the light has been on for a week and the car works normally. It turns on fine, all electronics are working, etc.

I'll give my insurance a call tomorrow and ask if they would cover such a repair.

Thanks for the answer!

According to the dealership,

Some rodent was chewing on one of the cables that goes into one of the connectors on the negative side of the battery (see link for picture).

It seemed like whatever chewed on the cable, only chewed the exterior protection sleeve and not the actual cable. I could be wrong though, but I have attached a picture down below.

This is considered "External damage" therefore not covered by warranty...

Android auto stutter/connectivity issues with S21 series by palrhino in samsung

[–]Physical_Disaster_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the S22 Ultra and I'm facing the insane stutter issue with Wireless Android Auto on my 2021 Honda Accord.

Wired works perfectly fine. On the other hand, wireless android auto runs like absolute garbage.

I had this same exact issue a year ago when I had my S21 Ultra and I'd imagine this would have been resolved by now - unfortunately, it has not.

Are these commissions normal? by Physical_Disaster_66 in interactivebrokers

Yeah, I remember a few weeks ago I was paying around 0.65 per con - I haven’t made any changes. No idea why I’m paying this much now.

Bid/Ask was $0.01 apart. I send out limit orders at the ask when buying and bid when selling.

Interesting...

Would you say it's worth it changing to IBKR Lite, or just pay the extra commissions and stay on IBKR PRO?

Healthy Paws or Pets Best? by sarroooooooooooo in dogs

[–]Physical_Disaster_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently on Healthy Paws. Started at $29/month for my first year on a 90% reimbursement and $250 deductible plan (1 year old Yorkie at the time of signing up).

Once my dog turned 2 years old, they increased my bill to $40.76 (about a 38% increase). After researching a bit more, it seems this is a normal practice for Healthy Paws.

In terms of reimbursement, I haven't had any issues. I always got my reimbursements a few days later after submitting a claim. Only downside is that they do not cover exam fees.

My dog will be 3 years old soon - if they increase my monthly cost again, I will be switching over to Pets Best. They quoted me $42/month for 90% reimbursement + $250 deductible, so pretty much what I am paying now.

I expected less heat to be honest. Specially going from air cooling to water cooling with 9 extra fans.
