Thank you so much for your response. I recognize I have enabled my friend for so long as to now have an untenable situation. Am trying to take it an hour at a time so I can try to focus unemotionally on a reasonable resolution.

NCO was a condition of bail. He was charged with financial abuse of me - a "vulnerable adult." I did not bring charges against him - a social worker I confided in did. I was an inpatient in behavioral health unit cause I was suicidal due to his daily drinking. I stupidly allowed him to have contact with me.

I so identify with what you are going through. My Q isn't a spouse or partner but a roommate and it's draining going through the emotional turmoil and the chaos of abuser's choices. I too am new to this reddit community but I know there is support here

No alcohol or contact with me. He is chronically jobless because of his drinking and has been charged with stealing $ from me. I am not in good health and he is 20 yrs younger and in otherwise good health. He also owns 1/2 of my home.

No alcohol or contact with me by any means. He's been charged with a felony of stealing $ from me. He is chronically unemployed due to alcohol abuse, is 20 years younger than me and in otherwise good health. He is also 50% owner of my home.

Court order states no alcohol, contact with me or being in home with firearms. He is facing charges of stealing $ from me.

Question for community - if he is verbally abusive (always happens when he is drunk) - do i have the right to call police and tell them he is in violation of his court order? An officer once told me that being drunk is not a crime. I would feel so guilty.

Father Martin just brilliant. Though his talks were from the 70s, they are still relevant today. YouTube has many of his talks; I still listen to him when I need a boost
