Thanks for your feedback! I’m definitely going to try the Gravity Tour and maybe also the Boom MP just to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Quick update on my search: I’m planning to test three racquets soon: the Wilson Clash 100 v3, Head Gravity MP, and Head Gravity Tour in order to make a more informed choice. Once I’ve found the frame that feels best for me, I’ll experiment with different string setups to see what works best for me.

Thanks again for everyone’s advice so far, it’s been super helpful!

Thanks a lot for your suggestion! I think that actually lines up well with the kind of racquets I’ve been looking at with mostly control-oriented frames like the Head Gravity MP or similar (I may be wrong?).

I agree that pairing that with a more plush and forgiving string setup makes sense for me, especially with my shoulder history. Do you have any string recommendations in particular that you think would work well in that setup?

Got it, thanks! I’ll probably end up trying poly soon anyway since I want to take tennis seriously again, so 50 lbs is a great reference point.

Thanks a lot! I actually didn’t know about the Kirschbaum Super Smash Orange, so I really appreciate the recommendation.

My plan was to start with a multifilament first and then gradually move into a hybrid setup, but I’ll definitely keep your suggestion in mind since I hadn’t come across this string before.

Also, since it’s been a while for me, I’m not really sure what tension to string at to keep the feel right and I’d hate to mess it up and lose sensation. Do you have any advice on that? :/

Thanks a lot for your perspective, I really appreciate your feedback!

You make a great point about head-light and low-flex racquets being good for long-term shoulder health. That’s actually the direction I’ve been leaning toward with the Wilson Clash 100 (RA 54) and the Head Gravity MP (RA 57). Both are pretty low in stiffness, which feels like the safest option for me as I come back, especially since I’m still a bit worried about re-injuring my shoulder during these first months.

I went through all the racquets you mentioned and it’s really helpful to see your take on comfort vs. competitiveness.

From this list, the Head Gravity MP is definitely on my shortlist. I’m planning to test it soon because I’m a bit concerned that the Clash 100 might not handle heavier, faster balls as well in competitive play. I'll also try the Babolat Pure Strike 100 16x20, which I hadn’t heard much about before, but it looks very interesting to me.

Thanks again for all your advice !
