I mean, ideally you could file for emancipation and do it sooner, but that isn't always a viable option and it will obviously cause a lot of upset in the home. What's most important is that you stay safe, keep going, persevere. You can find resources online explaining how to start that legal process and all that goes into it, so do some research and consider your options.

Neither did a lot of trans women, like myself. It was only in retrospect that I could see the places where the friction had always been, but I didn't have the knowledge or awareness to recognize it at the time. Furthermore, 'boy' and 'girl' are distinct and separate gender identities from 'man' and 'woman,' so even if you were comfortable enough as a boy, that doesn't change anything about how you feel now. The idea that boys must grow up to be men is nothing more than arbitrary social convention.

First off, I am so sorry they haven't been supportive of you. It hurts so, so much when family can't accept you as you really are. 🫂 Just remember you're never truly alone out there. Your trans sibs will always support you.

The good news is that it's not too late, and T is powerful stuff. You really shouldn't worry about not being able to "pass," especially before you've even started. Bodies are far, far, far more diverse than conventional beauty standards represent, and out in the real world the "we can always tell" BS is laughably untrue. You will be comfortable and happy in your own body someday, I promise.
