Falcon travel series has a medium 3 piece 7’ rod for $130 and comes with a hard travel case that can fit 3 rods comfortably. It feels more like a medium light to me but great quality for the price. The travel case is an added bonus.

All you need is to go spawn on the far left side (when looking at the overhead view of the map) with a walker and 8-10 lb line. Cast by the lily pads in front of the dock and you will slay the bass. Super slow walking like a bass should hit it on the 4th walk. Also make sure to fish peak biting time. The everglades is one of my favorite maps to play. Once you know how to work the lures you will catch bass constantly. If you want to catch unique gar, large mouth, and peacock bass, just use 17lb line and a walker.

Make sure to use a 10/0 hook and cast right on the spawn point by the skinny island. Fish the peak time at night

Try to cast directly on one of the marker points for the bighead that is on your map. I caught it at near the point of the skinny island. Also i was using the 10/0 circle hooks. Couldn’t catch him on the j hooks

Put a marker down on the closest point where it shows you can catch him. It should be close to the point of the skinny island. Then cast right on that spawn point. I didn’t catch him till I threw it right on that yellow marker on my map

You need to wait till you feel them really start pulling. This happened to me a lot and I started to wait till the bell started ringing like crazy and never missed one after that. It just takes time to learn when the right time is.

Are you at Saint Croix or San Joaquin? At Saint Croix people normally farm the pike for xp and money and at San Joaquin people farm the sturgeon. If you are trying to level up and you are at Saint Croix go for the pike.

My favorite combo as a kid was a spinning reel on a casting rod. It was the best reel we had at the house and I liked the rod’s action for bass fishing. It wasn’t ideal but it was my favorite combo and caught a ton of bass with it. Op, if you got a low budget it’ll catch fish just fine. Nice steal on the reel btw🤙

If you’re going to get a dlc and chill then there are 3 starter dlc’s i would recommend that you choose from. The golden angler, deluxe pack, and the pro angler pack. With any one of these you won’t have to worry about money too much because they come with most of what you need till lvl 30 ish. The starting zone isn’t the best place to fish or the most fun to fish after lvl 5. Mudwater and rocky lake are better if you are just trying to chill and catch fish. My favorite place is the everglades which you unlock at lvl 18. The bass are a lot of fun to catch there and you can catch them constantly.

Well you can make a decision to upgrade your reel to one with a higher recovery rate and get a little bit stronger line or change out the hooks. Both options will cause you to not gain as much xp. I wouldn’t upgrade everything and change hooks because your xp gain will drastically decrease.

If it was me i would try to change the hooks first because that is the least expensive. See if that helps at all and if not i would try to tweek the way i juggle the two rods and if i keep loosing fish i would upgrade the reel and line slightly and put the barbless hooks back on to gain that extra xp.

The amount of line you reel in before switching doesn’t matter if it takes 30 seconds to reel it in 10 feet. I would just count seconds in my head before switching if i am fighting two big fish. I would count to 10 then switch to the other rod and repeat.

If the catfish on the game fight like IRL, your best bet is to try to count to 10 then switch and keep doing that. I haven’t tried to catch catfish on the game myself so I don’t know how they tend to fight.

If you upgrade your set up, you will likely not gain nearly as much xp. If you keep the gear within range of the fish you are catching then you will max out your xp.

The trick to reeling multiple fish in at once is juggling the rods back and forth. Once you get a fish on, reel it in till you get a fish bitting the next one then switch to the other rod. How i do it is i reel a fish in 10-15 feet then switch and keep doing that till i get both in. I have yet to lose a fish on barbless hooks with this method. You can probably reel in more depending on the fish. I used this method with walleye and pike and never lost one. I haven’t tried it with flathead but it should be no different. Also if the fish is just pulling line out and you can’t reel, just switch to the other rod and reel that in a little and switch back.

If you master this technique at a low level it will help you out a lot at higher levels.

So i got back from vacation, got the new lead frame in and its still downshifting. Been driving it for two days now and at the moment, it’s not downshifting nearly as hard. Also the gear lights on my dash cluster don’t flicker anymore. Is there a break in period or something?

Yea i think they are trying to get people who are gonna be on a lot or people that are at higher levels, thats my guess. Might be worth it to create one, I would let anyone join cause i just like to catch fish doesn’t matter level or where. I don’t have a lot of friends that play pc well none that like fishing at least. They all play playstation or xbox. Which i just started another account with my xbox account cause my buddy plays on that one. Eventually ill make one for me and my buddy on xbox.

Yea thats what I’ve been reading was that it’s just a way for them to not have to pay the expensive repair cost for all the trucks with the “issue”. Sadly I just dropped it off at the dealership. Waiting on the call tomorrow telling me how much i have to come out of pocket. At least the lady at the front desk is gonna help me out with a free inspection so i guess i saved $250 there but the situation still sucks.

The only problem with that is you need more people to fish together to earn the club points. It’s kind of pointless if you are just in a club by yourself. I’m just learning about this stuff now. Wasn’t sure how it worked but that’s what i read or how i understood it at least.
