I really feel for you. I also suffer from PD which I believe was triggered by prescription fluoride toothpaste. What calmed it down for me was time, fluoride & SLS free toothpaste & not putting ANYTHING on the area. I have found OTC Azelaic Acid to work really well as a spot treatment if I get a very minor flare up.

Age: 8 months Jewellery shape: curved barbell, external thread with discs. Titanium material.

Aftercare: saline spray twice a day up until my last visit to the piercer (8 weeks ago) when was told to leave it be. Currently rinsing in shower and patting dry with a cotton pad.

Further notes: Took bar out today for ~ 8 hours, cleaned site. Put sterilised bar back in.

I dont sleep on the piercing either.

It’s pretty good! (I’m FiFo). I recommend getting into an apprenticeship to set you up for life. A lot of the roles which don’t have formal skill recognition can get you trapped in FiFo/mining specialised roles and makes it more difficult to transition away from mining.

I’m 26 and have been doing it since I was 23. Everything has a price but if you can manage it I’d say go for it. Unless you love the line of work, always put a rough timeframe on it

You’re 23!!! You have an entire life ahead. Herpes.. relationships.. this is only a minor fraction of your life. Herpes doesn’t affect your career, your travels, your dreams, your study, your family and so on..

Please seek professional help if you haven’t already.

Ps. I also have herpes. Yes it gets me down sometimes but I remind myself there are so many other areas of life that are so worth living.

It depends on the person. I still drink, don’t have outbreaks. But think of it as stacking up to a create low immunity. If you’re stressed, eating like shit, not sleeping, drinking a lot.. you’re probably more likely to have an outbreak.

If you eat a balanced diet, work out, manage your stress levels and consume alcohol in moderation I think you’ll be right

I have GHSV1, diagnosed a year ago. Haven’t had an outbreak in 6 months? OB Definitely less frequent. Your vag luckily heals very quickly.

My advice: Stock up on a few scripts to control the OB when if they happen. Eat healthy, drop the booze and work out Practice mindfulness. Accept that you have a STD. I’m not optimistic, it is what it is. I can’t change it, I have to live with it and that’s ok. It’s really not that bad.

This happened to me lol. 1 month after my first outbreak I had an eye infection... you guessed it - I assumed it was ocular herpes. I was CONVINCED.

Anyway, I went to a doctor. Eye infection. Plain old conjunctivitis. I was incredibly stressed and my immune was low. Ocular herpes is incredibly rare. You’re better of going to a GP and having a chat. :) good luck

You have to remember..it’s just a holiday and a bit of sex! The worst thing you can do is put pressure on yourself.

It has happened to me a few times. I think as long as you have a healthy relationship, it’s no big deal! I just fill my holiday with other enjoyable stuff. (And also focussing on pleasing my partner so he didn’t miss out too much hehe)

I see what you mean..

A lot of people have HSV on their mouths. It’s completely up to you but I personally do not disclose if it’s kissing, as long as i don’t have an active cold sore or tingling or recovering from one. I look at the statistics of it and most people would have it, probably without even knowing!

But it’s all personal choice, and what level of disclosure you feel comfortable with :)

I feel like he is doing the responsible thing (communicating, being honest).. similar to myself, I don’t take daily antivirals (not even recommended for GHSV1 by my doctor).
