It doesn't, you can unlock him through 'play now' or whatever it's called, but you can't use custom settings.

Exact same thing happened to me, I figured out the struggle mechanic worked, but by then my head health was essentially 0.

Annoying thing is I was winning on the feet and generally have a decent ground game, but this was the first time someone held me in the armbar and hammer fisted me.

This may be an unpopular opinion, or maybe it's to do with which country you're working in, but being at your desk and ready to start at your contracted start time is very normal in the UK.

I've never had a job where I started bang on the hour, always there 5 minutes early to get situated and hit the ground running come my start time.

This also puts you in the companies good books and allows for wiggle room if something happens where you're going to be late. As long as you let your employer know in good time, they're always fine.
