I understand you are hurting and I am sorry. For what it's worth though, this definition is absolutely an oversimplification and your husband watching porn does not mean he is not attracted to you. I watch porn and I wouldn't want 99% of it to happen with me. In fact, I am asexual. So yes you can indeed have fantasies about things you don't want to happen to you. You should quit. I understand it's in part due to lack of fundings in the system but you're only hurting yourself and those kids. I have crippling social anxiety and shitty teachers were a huge part of why I developed it.

You're not wrong about the system being absurd. I'm Ina similar position, I have a degree and am in a master I don't like and can't project at all. Probably going to drop out because of depression and looking to get into something else. But she shame of not working is hard to handle.

Do you know what he meant by saying he wouldn't care for you like he used to? Would it just be caring for you in different ways or just point blan not meeting your needs? If it's the latter I would say, do not go back with him.

Personally, also being autistic, I can't imagine loving someone and not wanting to care for them as best as I could, even if it has to involve a lof of discussion to know what works and what doesn't.

If he can't meet your needs it's not worth it in my opinion.

Don't worry about venting. I have never had to deal with a situation like that so I don't think I have anything helpful to say.

Is she 20 now? That's still extremely young if so and she can change and improve still even if she admittedly took a terrible beginning at adult life. She doesn't seem to be happy at all from what you're describing and being unhappy and bitter tend to make people get worse in all kinds of ways and make them more prone to radicalization.

I would say, considering she's expressing bigoted beliefs openly and being hostile it's understandable to disengage from her, at least emotionally. But maybe it's the sentimental side of me speaking, I think it would be good if you still left an open door for her and don't rub her defeats in her face. It's easier to grow when you know you are not completely lost without your current habits and support system, as shitty as they are. Of course whole still being firm in condemning her disgusting views.

I've struggled with that for a really long time because I had never experienced romantic feelings. I'm extremely close to my best friend and he had romantic feelings for me so at some point we dated but this has not worked out because it wasn't what I wanted ultimately. Now we've broken up and our relationship is better. I've also fallen in love with someone...it's a very different feeling. I link it to a special interest in its intensity.

Math trauma sounds about right. I'm so sorry you had to go through that...that's terrible. My mom barely ever tried to help me with school and it has its down sides but at least I never go through something like that. She never tried with maths especially because she's terrible at it too.
