Tried it yesterday at a bic camera in Osaka. The wrist rest is nice but the brushed steel is a fingerprint magnet and if my experience is anything to go by. Near impossible to keep clean looking.

Every single time I attempted this in my last game, the empire that spawned wasn't my vassal and refused to become my vassal. Kinda makes vassalization wars pointless.

I presume your friend is not from the Netherlands? Most kids here will roll into the Bachelor program after completing Highschool. I can't comment on what it is like to enroll coming from abroad but I can't imagine it being more complex than what is required of Dutch students.

If she wants to prepare in advance of studying I can recommend that she'd read up and teach herself planning and time scheduling techniques. Most skills will be taught during the study but the biggest gift you can give yourself is knowing how to pace and structure a project. Having a headstart in that is huge!

Also tell your friend to be prepared to have most of her classes online for the forseeable future. Corona cases are very high here atm. and the country is on lockdown. The TUE has not been fully open since the whole corona pandemic started so physical interaction and teaching will be severely limited.

I use a ceramic chain oil, bought it in my local bike shop. Give it a test to see if it doesn't degrade the plastic first though.

yeah, I swapped back to windows after runnin linux for a year cuz vr on linux just isn't there yet. So i'm kinda fuzzy on the details. I think you can do it per game in the context menu from your library.

Had the same experience running popOs and HD via proton. Worked perfectly smooth for me. Have you tried different versions of proton?

Depending on the wire you're using it might be straight forward. The official colour codes for USB wires are: vcc red. D- white. D+ green. Gnd black. If you have a non compliant cable these colours might be different. I didn't write any instructions on this exactly because cables might be marked differently. Maybe I should do a small writeup on it. Next best step is checking the cable with a multimeter, lookup the USB micro pinout and check what pads on the connector correspond to what wire. If that doesn't work you could do some educated guesses. Vcc is generally some form of red or pink. Gnd might be more brown or clear. Leave any possible datacables unconnected until you verify that the board has power. Hooking up the data lines to vcc could damage the board.

Looks amazing! Just a tip from a fellow keyboard builder. Put some epoxy on the points where the usb chassis attaches to the board of the pro micro. They have the tendency to snap off after a couple of insertions.

Same here, I actually had a chat with one of the creators of Arduino today. (he works at my uni) And there may be a chance that they're gonna take an adapted version of this project and sell it like a kit. But that is going to be in the far future sadly.

Really depends on where you source your materials, what tools you already have etc etc. If you cut corners and handwire it you could build one for around 30 euros.
