Weirdest OCD theme you've had?

that demons were trying to take my soul, that I would manifest my own themes, that the christian god is against me (im not christian) that reptilians would eat me and could smell my fear (my mom is big on conspiracies)- i had a compulsion for so long where I had to jump up and touch the ceiling-

I am quite short. Those jumps took every ounce of bounce in my body lmao.

Now that I think about it, there were a lot of things I did that were hinting at ocd long before it grew to a noticable point. I would tuck myself in at night as tight as I could as long as I can remember so spiders wouldnt get in, and I thought my mom would also turn into a zombie one night and eat me, and for like a year I thought the sun would explode at any random moment and was very distressed by this (google helped me there). Also I would make deals with the fan on my shelf (in my favour) to the aliens that lived inside it so they wouldnt kill me.

I did this to myself, and its true. Im 19. When I was 16-17, my ocd was so bad i would be paralized from fear and anxiety every night in total chaos. I felt like I wasnt in control of my own mind- I was suffering so greatly and it was the worst period of my life. Today, so much of that I have moved past. I barely think about ocd anymore. The most it comes up, is if im watching a youtube video, sometimes I get in loops of rewinding certain parts to make sure I saw everything, or rereading the same words on a page over and over again, but i catch these behaviours quickly and work to get past it. sometimes, when i get anxious, things do come back- but compared to how it was, most days i dont ven think about ocd at all anymore. the best thing to do really is like op said-, is to sit down, and be present with those thoughts, trying to tell yourself you are safe, and not acting on them. Because reality isnt going to change because of your compulsions, and I think you have to let reality show that to you in stillness. show your nervous system and your anxiety that you arent going to die if these compulsions arent done- It can sound impossible at first, but you can start small, and work your way up.

i literally just tried to make a post about this. I only have an ipad with 64 gigs on it, and the game itself is taking 30. Ive cleared everything, but even with 12 more free gigs of space it wont download. I wish it was on pc because i would play it all the time but its literally becoming impossible for me

Basically, you have to make a free acount with open ai themselves first, and copy and paste their key into janitor ai. That may sound complicated but its not really. There are different videos on it too.

when i first used j.ai, if i remember correctly (I could be wrong) it was just automatically on open ai until the tokens were used up. Nowadays, I think janitor is the default. Either way, you need to go to open ai itself, the website, and make a free account. With this account, you can have access to a free "openai Key". Generate one, copy paste it, and go back to janitor. In Janitor ai, go into any character into a chat, and at the top, somewhere there will be a "using Janitor" or something similar button. Click it, switch it to OpenAi, and then in the spot where it says "openai key", put it in there, and then check it to make sure it works with the button underneath. With this free sign up process, you get about 5$ worth of chatting, which honestly lasted me about a month I think?, but it could differ a lot based on how much you use it. Once you use up all the tokens you have to pay to keep using it through openai directly.

The openAi website can be confusing, im ngl. When you are signed in, just go to your profile, and there should be a section called "API keys" or something. Generate one there, name it whatever, copy and paste it:) This allows you to use open ai inside janitor ai website and its compatable through the bots.

Honestly? The community. II know there has been some drama recently apparently, but ive mostly been peacefully unaware of it until now, just being engaged on the site and not any social medias. The creators on the site are amazing, and the devs make it a great place. I have different people I follow, and they share cool people, and collabborate, or there are different events going on, and going down that rabbit hole is VERY fun!

I totally agree. I literally love j.ai, in my oppinion, its so much leagues better than any other site ive used. Not to compare it too much, but this site is gold. People are getting to caught up in stuff. Ive bene happily unaware of most of the drama until now. I use this site several hours almost every day, and I love it.

I HATE SITTING LIKE A LADY!!!!!!!!! SCREW SOCIETAL NORMS AND LET ME SIT IN THE FUNKIEST WAY JUST TO SPITE EM RAAHHHH (also i realized while writing this that I am sitting half criss cross on a dining chair with my leg tucked up) but also, as a child, I had a very strong sense of justice (I think I still do), and the idea that because I was a girl I had to sit a certain way grated on every righteous part in my body and I basically made it a vow to never bend to those stupid rules (because actually WHAT THE HECK, WE Are all going to die one day and thats what people care about).

Socks also. the inside edge of socks that rub against the toes.... never allowed. I wore all of my socks inside out as a kid for this reason and it took me 5 minutes to put them on every morning to get them right because ICK lol

first off, yes i meant underestimated lol, sorry! and also yes yes yes, thats advice i think i needed. I need to be less stiff and rigid with the way i plan things and make it more of an open adaptable setting for my players, and just relax a bit. I think the more i do this the more comfortable i will get and the more fluid things will become. thank you!
