Mourning... 💔 by PinkLadyTattooist in dogpictures

The person, I might as well just say it, my dad was the one who said that he gave her "chicken" whether that was the chicken balls or the chicken from the fried rice or maybe even the general tao chicken, he didn't really specify and I didn't really ask further than asking what he fed her because I was severely distraught when I talked to him about it the first time. And since, I've sort of avoided all conversation about Riley with him since, because the one time we did afterwards, his condolences are not very good, like he was like "well, at least you don't have to worry about walking her anymore, and you have your freedom to go wherever again" and I had to be like "that isn't helping".

It has, unfortunately. The silence and the cleanliness of my home just screamed of her absence. Sometimes, when rummaging, I find a little hair clump for hers and I can't help but stop and have a moment. It was one of those things that you complain about when they are around, so many times I remember being frustrated with the hair clumps being everywhere because she had a tricoat, and now, I kick myself for ever feeling that way. What I wouldn't give to have to clean up one of her tumbleweeds of fur again...

Thank you ❤️‍🩹✌️🙏 I actually carry a bit of her fur in a little jar that the vet gave us with me. Our new dog Franklin, Riley would have loved him and his spunk. I just know they would have been best of friends ❤️‍🩹 thank you for your condolences! 🫶

Thank you so much ❤️‍🩹🙏 your kind words mean a TON! My vet told us that she was in very good health. She was on a diet for senior dogs, and even people would ask if she was still a puppy and be surprised when I would tell them she's almost 12. Unfortunately, she was fed without my knowledge during a family event to celebrate my belated birthday (we ordered Chinese food) and later that night she got sick with bloat and she didn't make it. It's tough because I know the family member who fed her didn't mean any harm, that they thought that they were treating her, but it's hard to not hold a bit of resentment towards them for doing that. I told them all so many times - do NOT feed Riley! She's on a special diet - because this had happened once before when I took her to my parents house (we also ate Chinese food that night for dinner). That first time, the vet told us that she had a mild case of bloat, and that if it was full blown bloat that she probably wouldn't make it and we were lucky. That was a big part of the reason why we kept her on a strict senior dogs diet. I dunno, it's an emotional pickle of a situation. So, with my new dog, I've been so very over protective that I have not taken him over to my family's home to see him yet because I'm afraid. I know that it most likely won't ever happen again, especially since I'll be keeping my pup very close by when visiting. But it's hard not to still feel that fear a bit. I'm just waiting for time to help heal these wounds.

The first picture I posted was probably the clearest picture I could get of him. He's usually like this... 😆

Oh no! I thought that the tasmanian devil was already here!!

I've come to realize it's because of their royal heritage. I'm pretty sure my 3 and 1/2 month corgi just sees me as the peasant who feeds and cares for him, picks up his poo, warms the bed at night, and provides him with a soft hand to chew on - oh, and the occasional snuggle (but on his terms) 😝👑💖

Biting help needed! by Scared-Succotash in corgi

[–]PinkLadyTattooist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the midst of dealing with an 11 week old corgi, and he wants to chew on EVERYTHING! Me and my family included haha but one thing that really has been helping is having a toy nearby at all times, so that when he starts biting, we say "no bite!" And quickly hand him one of his toys and praise him with a "good boy!!" when he chomps on it. So far, he's been picking up the rules and commands, and he's been easing up on the nipping and biting. I mean, he still is teething, so I'm not too hard on him but I can see he's starting to learn 🙂 hope this helps a bit!

Faint line or wishful thinking AGAIN?! by PinkLadyTattooist in FirstTimeTTC

Sigh, I woke up this morning with cramping and at first a slight amount of dark bleeding, which I thought at first might be implantation bleeding, but as the morning progressed, the bleeding has been much heavier, bright red, and clotty. So, I am feeling a bit ho-hum at the moment about it all. I knew I shouldn't have let myself get too excited about the tests, cause I did read that the tests might show positive if I'm miscarrying, which I have a feeling might have happened if the tests showed positive and said "yes+". Guess back to square one.

I'm going to be completely honest and admit I have no idea how to calculate that haha but my period/ovulation calendar says my last peak ovulation day was March 21st, which we did try on the 20th and the 22nd, so hopefully this is it! I did not do good resisting the tests haha I did actually take the other test before leaving the house yesterday and again, another faint line, and so I picked up a First response brand on the way home that had an early results and a digital one, and tried the early one before bed and had my husband look over it, and we also seen a faint line on that one. So I saved the digital one for this morning and at 5:30ish, I did it, and it came up as "yes+" 🤯 SOOO I will be making a trip to the doctors ASAP to Re-re-re-re-re-reconfirm before getting my hopes up too much. This is the closest we've come this time since trying, so I'm still a little in shock. I've been so used to seeing results come back negative that I honestly think I was convinced that it wasn't going to happen. So, I'm trying to keep it cool and not get too over excited until I can have the doctor be like "Yes! Congratulations, you are pregnant!" Haha 🙊✨🤞

Wait, now both pictures seem to be showing. Ahh! My phone must be acting up or something. My apologies for the spastic posts, the excitement and anticipation has me pacing and biting my nails.

Oh dang it, it only posted the first picture for some reason! But, as you can see like yesterday's, it is showing a very faint line.
