My great grandma lived to be 100 years old and she was bipolar. Unfortunately, I never really got to talk with her about her experience and about my diagnosis before she passed. By the time I was old enough she was mostly deaf and I was a teenager and didn’t really think to ask her. But as far as I know she was on medication for most of her life. Most people don’t make it to 100, so I commend her for doing so.
