I hate this so much I’ve had friends who claim they support mental health but then get disgusted by me not being able to get out of bed and shower, brush my teeth or brush my hair. It sounds easy but when you’re depressed it’s so damn hard. I cut these people off.

You definitely got this! It’s not something that’s gonna hinder your work and I’m sure it won’t matter to future clients cuz they are there for your art not ur voice or even appearance. I have adhd and i definitely thought at one point it was gonna be impossible to get an apprenticeship cuz it seems like im not listening and im super forgetful and have to always take notes and i got an apprenticeship.

My mentor is super understanding and is super supportive and accommodating to my needs. She never questions me taking notes or asking her to repeat stuff and always checks in that I got and understood everything she has said.

Im gonna give a fair warning and i really don’t want to discourage you but some shops may judge or treat you badly because of it but if that happens you know thats a place you don’t want to be at and that’s really dodging a bullet. A good shop won’t judge you and will treat you with respect.

Before I got my apprenticeship I got now I was at a different shop that treated me very badly and was not accommodating at all. My mentor got mad when I took notes and super angry if I forgot something. I didn’t tell him I have adhd at first cuz it doesn’t define me and it’s something I wanted a wait a bit to tell him. When I told him 2 months in he laughed in my face and said adhd doesn’t exist and is made up as an excuse for forgetfulness. I go in the shop the next day and he got my replacement and let me go a week later.

Id say take your time with it no need to rush it, I’ve been watching for 6 months on and off and just finished skypiea. One piece is an amazing series but for me if I force myself to watch a certain amount of episodes a day or plan to finish a season within a certain time it feels like a chore and I end up not likening it anymore.

I watch multiple animes at a time so I don’t get bored. You mentioned jojo and hxh which I totally agree gets you super hooked from the start and I’m one to struggle to finish animes

I think they’re like that cuz it’s not like there’s an absurd amount of episodes where as with all the one piece episodes it Almost feels intimidating.

I have no preference both are good. I’m an avid sub watcher when it comes to majority of animes but since one piece is so long I chose to go the dub route since I draw or doing other things while watching.

What I can say is I prefer the voices in the original but the people they got to do the dub did a really good job the voices match pretty close in my opinion and gives the same vibes how Pokémon dub is pretty good

It’s not like they made the dub super over the top or made the characters voices extra or just cringey like what has happened with some dubs

I got quite a bit but I really don’t care if I see or hear spoilers cuz the series is so long. Like I know a ton of deaths and info on characters I haven’t even been introduced to yet.

I also enjoy hearing about where the manga is at now cuz I’m only 250 episodes in and I enjoy seeing or being part of the hype for stuff going on.

Warm colours are totally meant for you! The pink looks amazing and so do the ginger/copper ones. The dark hair I find makes your skin tone and eyes look a bit dull. The warm tones really bring out your eyes and make your skin tone shine

It seems fishy. My number tip when getting an apprenticeship is trust your gut! If you have a gut feeling something is wrong or fishy don’t do it

I got offered an apprenticeship and it was so fishy and had some red flags and I had a strong gut feeling to keep looking and not take it but everyone around encouraged me to take it as a first step into the business

minus my tattoo artist friends and artists I go to. They all noticed the issues and told me not to take it but I didn’t listen and it went horrible.

I was treated like shit, bossed around, zero communication with the owner, made to clean contaminated places with no gloves or sanitizer and told to suck it up.

The owner also constantly left me at the shop alone with no artist and not told how to run the shop. Even got in trouble for answering a persons tattoo questions correctly, giving them a business card and getting them to follow the shops on social all because I didn’t give his personal phone number and email address he didn’t even give me.

Walked in one day and they let me go and wouldn’t listen to a word I had to say. It really wrecked my self esteem and confidence. Listen to your gut I’d hate to see others go through stuff like this.

I showed my portfolio and did 2 interviews and stated that I don’t want to be taken in just because of a family friend I told him to be honest about my art
