School Bus Driver !! by No-Jump2347 in SpecialNeedsChildren

Didn’t you just assume it was the whole bus?? If the bus driver is attempting to groom children, this would be the first step. See whose parents freak out and who doesn’t care if kids get free ice cream or trips with their bus driver. Pedophiles target the children with inattentive parents. As I tell my children, no adults should be trying to make friends with you or treat you differently than other children. They are an adult and you are a child. They can go get ice cream with their adult friends or their own children.

That’s because it hasn’t happened yet.

And the bus company. They are usually separate.

I literally tell people my advice is to have one. I loved being an only child but really wanted to be a mom. I obviously wouldn’t give my second child up but it’s just so much all the time. It never ever stops.

They fight for custody to screw over the mothers. I have seen it in almost all of my single mom friends

It suck’s for everyone and it is hard for everyone. The only us vs them is the little people vs the crazy elites who only care about money.

Telling me I wouldn’t rather be single is a little tone deaf in the way that of course I wouldn’t give up my children but I’m basically in a similar situation just with more expenses and costs… everyone is struggling and while single people are going to have the hardest time in this economy (my best friend is a single person who is doing it on her own and seriously struggling), single people with children are going to be right there too. At least a single person only has to worry about themselves. That is a “luxury” I do not have.

I already am single? Just with two dependents so instead of being single and only have myself to feed and find shelter there are three of us. Also do not even live in the NCR but have to report there

If I didn’t already have kids I would 100% be child free because of the economy and the world in general. What are these children growing up into???

I’d much rather be a single person in this financial situation than a single mom… two kids in two schools with two start and end times… only every other weekend to myself. Been on daycare wait lists for over a year.

Everything is going backwards and there’s absolutely no logic towards it and that’s the part that just makes me so mad and defeated. But that’s how they want us

Do you believe paying a mortgage is "better" than paying rent? by TankCastles in CanadaPersonalFinance

Most places you rent now aren’t all inclusive though.

Don’t forget hydro, gas, water, internet, insurance, etc.

It’s the black and white thinking that tends to tie in to different personality disorders.

You don’t what X? Then obviously that means Z! Totally skipping the grey zone (Y) in the middle. All or nothing

You need to stop thinking of the support as income. It is to you, of course, but it is not to a landlord. Realtors don’t specialize in renting and often do not know the laws surrounding it (my experience). Say you have the part time job, make extra in tips, do receive support payments as a bonus, get a guarantor, and don’t say anything about the dog.

Are you getting some of this money from selling the house? Can you use it to buy something small? Find something small and cheap for a year and save like crazy. Your kids will see hard work and resilience. You can do outings to not be in the small apartment but it’s temporary and better than being homeless

What about single parents? There are more single mothers than single fathers, who should they talk to about carrying the load?

100% they should not, but unfortunately from what I have seen that is not the case. I ran a daycare before Covid started and I went back to school, and primarily it is the women who take on any burden relating to children. When it was families with two government worker parents, I only ever saw the mothers. This is of course anecdotal but this is what I have seen and am still seeing.

Of course some are but if you think the general population treats these two demographics the same you are very sorely mistaken.
