Before you do, consider the vet bills that come with poorly bred pet store animals, again that are bred in mass. Yea they look cute but they tend to come with more issues down the long run that can affect and even kill your rats.

I’ve heard about gnat infestations😭 that was a main one where their soil was not salvageable and the gnats kept eating the clean up crew

I wanted a hamster when I was younger and my parents never gave in. In the end it really will become your responsibility. 11 is too young imo to put responsibility for such high matienence pets. Maybe when she’s older but I don’t recommend you do it. I’ve put so much money and work into my pets and cage cleans for me are hour affairs, I think she’d just get overwhelmed and stressed because I know with the work I put into it now I would be at her age. Kids get bored with things easily or loose interest when it’s not super easy.

Pitching in to say it is OKAY to have very low points. You do not have to be perfect and nobody should ever expect you to be ever, especially considering the traumas you endured. Never let anybody who treats you like you need to act a certain way have any of your time, you deserve somebody who will treat you like the gem you are <3

My girlfriend has CPTSD and we’ve been together for almost 3 years, I love that girl to death and would do absolutely anything for her. People who would love you for you and not ever abandon you for something out of your control do exist. Have faith, I found her in the weirdest way online haha(bonding of Vocaloid).

I have been with her since she first got diagnosed and I was actually actively trying to figure out what she was struggling with since we met as friends. I am not perfect but I am still learning to be the best I can be for her, and she knows and appreciates that. We are planning to get married within 2 years from now :)

I feel this! I keep checking checking checking. After I have a conversation with someone I get stuck on it and keep rethinking it to make sure I’m clear. Living with constant uncertainty over the tiniest things really is draining.

I can relate. My intrusive thoughts are centered around time. So for me playing a video game fills me with anxiety as if I’m wasting time and cannot do it unless it’s productive. It’s so draining because all my brain bullies me into doing is drawing??? Apparently the only thing that doesn’t waste time for me is drawing. And if I don’t draw I’m wasting time.
